B: Andrew Mackie – Matthew Scarlett – Darren Milburn
HB: Joel Corey – Harry Taylor – Max Rooke
C: Jimmy Bartel – Corey Enright – David Wojcinski
HF: James Kelly – Cameron Mooney – Mathew Stokes
F:Paul Chapman – Tom Hawkins – Steve Johnson
Foll: Mark Blake – Joel Selwood – Gary Ablett
Int from: Shane Mumford, Tom Lonergan, David Johnson, Nathan Djerrkura, Ryan Gamble, Travis Varcoe, Shannon Byrnes

In: Darren Milburn, Nathan Djerrkura, Ryan Gamble, David Johnson
Out: Cameron Ling

Joel Corey to captain the side in the absence of both Tom Harley and Cameron Ling.

Given the weather predicted, it'll be interesting to see who makes the final team.

Mumford and Varcoe would be certainties, you'd think, whilst Lonergan may struggle to make the cut.

I'd like to see Nathan Djerrkura debut, but i also want to see David Johnson and Ryan Gamble back.

How do you expect the final bench to look?

If it's going to be wet I'd take Djerkurra & DJ over Gamble...

Lonners was pretty good last week, surely he wouldn't be dropped?

Any chance Mumford may not be a definite? Some teams are playing one ruckman at the best of times at the moment (which I don't agree with), however this week we come up against an almost-ruckless Brisbane and conditions won't favour the big men.

That would mean we would have to ruck Mooney, which is a BIG no from my perspective.

He deserves another game, but with Milburn back and wet weather forecast it'd be very brave to play him ahead of a smaller player like Johnson, Byrnes or Djerrkura.

Whilst wet weather doesn't suit talls, it usually means far more stoppages and i don't think we'd be reckless enough to expect Mark Blake to go from 50-60% gametime to 100% in one week, especially considering the extra ruck work required during wet weather football.

Using only one ruckman would allow us the luxury of having an extra small in the team, but i don't think it's worth the risk, especially with Brad Ottens return date still very vague.

I have a feeling it could be Mooney's turn for some sort of 'soreness' this week. Lonergan to CHF, D. Johnson to tag. Gamble and Djerrkura miss. It would be good if those two played though.

Don't think that'll happen but I'd almost prefer Milburn forward and Lonners to stay back. I like Milburn forward.

With the weather i think Dave Johnson will come in for Lonergan.

Djerkurra wont play i dont think and Shannon will keep his spot his been good. Milburn in for ling

emergencies, Gamble, Djerkurra, Lonergan for mine

Lonners won't play, having him makes us top heavy and is an admission we are scared of B&B beating our best defenders. Mind you they could pull some coaching and use him to free up Harry to be one of those annoying left footers who always gets the ball up the left wing, but yaknow just speculating about things that would be fun to see :)

Not convinced we need DJ against this mob. Would be a good week to sneak DJK in the mid rotation and Gamble for Shannon since Hawk/Moon are not kicking enough goals.

At the very least our selection panel has been quite a lot more flexible this year than last.

I need Gamble to play, badly.

But that aside, will be good to have Dasher back. Would like to see DJ get a run as well. Poor bastard goes down the same week as Hunt and misses a prime opportunity.

For me:
Rooke goes out of the forward line and into the guts where he tags someone (Black) in the place of Ling.
That leaves a spot open in our forward line rather than our midfield.
We drop Lonergan obviously because it's wet and he doesn't really have much of a role to fill.
We bring in my boy Vegas.

It's enough of this teaching him a lesson crap, he's good, he fills a hole, play him!

Love to see vegas get another crack at it, drop shannon for him.
I think that lonergan will have to stay in the back line this week to help out on the brisbane tall fowards, and he didnt play too badly last week.

I would like to see DJ get a game, and I would definitely prefer to see Djerrkura or Gamble in their instead of Shannon. He's been decent, but we need to rotate more youth.

Where's Hogan? Not even in the mix?

Would like to see this (Lonergan was good last week... Byrnes wasn't so...):

Int: Mumford, Lonergan, Gamble, Varcoe.

Will probably get this (with the weather):

Int: Mumford, D Johnson, Varcoe, Byrnes.

That's what I said wasn't it?
I suppose the decision is do they drop Lonners for a smaller type because it's wet, even though he probably deserves another game...
It's a tough call but it means either DJ, Djerrkura or Gamble will get a game and that's a positive...

You need some bigger bodies around the packs in the wet as well as smaller types, to go small is a mistake.
You won't see Brisbane leave Brown etc out in the wet, he actually plays well in those conditions using his bulk to good effect.
I'd like to see Lonergan in.

Well, no.

Your only comment on Lonergan was that he was good last week and therefore 'surely won't be dropped'.

My point was that whilst i agree with you about his form, the weather may dictate that he's the odd man out.

After looking at the team again, i'm tipping the bench to be Mumford, Varcoe, Johnson and Byrnes.
