I'm so sick of Hams being out of the team. It's a joke. We need a genuine crumber, not Ebert jogging around half-arsed, or Nicoski kicking a behind before the commentators saying "he probably had more time than he realised".
Say what you want about Ebert's skills, but his effort cannot be questioned.
He's been high on the flank regardless, not in the crumbing role.

Wasnt it initially a test on Saturday?

David Teague was saying just needs to get through training tomorrow . I would imagine Lecras will be named after getting through training but will still be a possible late OUT , but Teague sounded confident he will play also slipped that Smith may play a role at HB and that players from EF/SF game highly unlikely to be considered !

Having Le Cras out has effected Hams getting selected playing forward possibly. Ebert is being used forward to provide a medium marking option which is something Hams doesn't do.

We all know that the forward six would look so much better with fully fit Le Cras, Strijk and a Hams running around. It means no Nicoski, Ebert back to the bench rotations and Strijk joining in also. Hams to play the defensive shut down forward role.

Strijk Kennedy Ebert
Hams Darling Lecras

does look pretty good doesnt it.

It does. Still don't know why Hams isn't getting a game. Hopefully Strijk is in this week, but with only a 4 day break is it enough time to recover against Melbourne?

Swift has to play this week.

Tonight considering the game's tomorrow. I think other teams will be released tomorrow night maybe?

But was he playing as bad as he is at the moment?

With Darling playing brilliant football as well I see it being an even harder task for Wilson to break into the lineup.

He was playing on par. Every so often he would pop up 4-5. But had game sof nothing. Pretty similar to now.

I agree he is up against it due to Darling's form.

I just wanted to show that the Eagles selection policy has not been as simple as "play some good footy in the WAFL and you're in" over the last couple of years. Works for some but not others. cough cough DalziellMcGinnity cough :D

AFL - IN THE MIX

Saying Lecras + Smith the likely ins

Hope we do something different with the sub this week and make Striijk / Hams or Broome the SUB !

EDIT I know Hams played Monday , but could manage half a game !

Lets hope we see LeCras back at selection tonight :)

These two should be definate INS: LeCras (if fit) - Hams

Definate OUTS: Brown - Dalziell

Hopeful IN: Strijk

Hopeful OUT: Nicoski

The only saving grace for Nicoski will be applied forward pressure. Maybe a defensive half forward job on Grimes?

Thats the thing that baffled me a bit too Dodger. PLayers like McGinnity and Dalziell when doing well enough in WAFL would be selected for AFL but Wilson/Swift would have consistent good games and would get overlooked as well.

Its good seeing JK playing closer to goal.

Players who played WAFL this weekend would be extremely unlikely to play this week.

There are 3 main players up for selection - Le'cras, Swift and Smith.

OUT: Brown, Nicoski, Dalziell
IN: Smith, Le'cras, Swift

Swift or Smith as the sub?

You would think there would only be a couple of changes to the team that played pretty well against Hawthorn. I would like to see the match committee take a bit of a risk and start Strijk as a sub even though he played a game six days earlier. The following line up would be ideal IMO.

Out: Brown Dalziell
In: Lecras Strijk

Butler Glass Schofield
Hurn Mackenzie A.Selwood
Embley Priddis Rosa
Ebert Kennedy Shuey
Lecras Lynch Darling

Ruck: Cox Kerr S.Selwood

Int: Natanui Gaff Nicoski Sub: Strijk

Read online that Masten is also available for selection after training for the past 10 days!
