Well Shep's playing for the Sharks so his chances of playing on Thursday would be remote.

Might be between Smith and Stevenson for Brown's spot in the backline.

You would think Smith will be rewarded but Stevenson may play also as a option for Jurrah . Not placing any pressure on Lewis :o but Jurrah is a difficult match up .

Was put in at the end of last year after playing average football in the WAFL.

But was he playing as bad as he is at the moment?

With Darling playing brilliant football as well I see it being an even harder task for Wilson to break into the lineup.

Whatever happens Thursday night, at least we know we know that so far we haven't put up a performance as absolutely shithouse as both the Dogs and the Dockers are at the moment. It's like watching a spoonoff.

You'd have to hope so. If I were a dogs supporter though I'd be calling for heads to be rolled, Murphy and Cooney need to be taken behind a shed.

Neither side would have beaten us tonight. But yes obviously they're both better than us.

With the pressure we put on im not sure the Bulldogs are a better side... they are classier in front of goal though.

They will be lucky for top 4 which is a shame because we need someone to knock over Collingwood. God forbid they go back to back!

Mmm, they really struggled when Fremantle turned up the pressure at times tonight (though they didn't do it enough, hence the close game).

We can only pray

2 games in 4 days? I know Dalziell's fit but he isn't that fit

Also him playing for East today was arguably more of a detriment then a good thing ;)

Smith would be in the mix this week because Melbourne have some quick small and medium forwards ~ and he can at least stay with them for pace.

changes Smith/Stevenson in for Brown and Swift in for Razzle dazzle.

Swift looks to be ready to come back in and is fit and in form this time .Stevenson or Smith can play the Sheppard role off HBF with more dash and aggression at this stage.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Stevenson in for Brown and Smith in for DDD as sub.

I wouldn't be surprised to see McGinnity back in to play on one of their small forwards (or maybe to tag Davey) and Gaff back in the fluoro green:(

I like this move, Swift as the sub would be perfect. Gives us another midfield rotation and can use his pace when other players are slowing down. A good way to build his confidence rather than throwing him straight in the deep end.

Strijk will be given his chance in the coming weeks, needs to build his fitness up a bit first.

I like either Smith or Stevenson in for Brown as well. Balances out our team a bit more and gives us some rebound.

don't see much value in swift as the sub

the best use of the sub has been guys like gaff, petterd & rohan who have run and carried the ball in the last quarter

i definitely see value in stevenson/strijk in this role

though with strijk - i'd rather he played a full game - if his fitness is suspect - would rather a full game in the wafl than a quarter in the afl

Put in a potential Melbourne team to provide some match-ups.

Butler Glass Schofield
Wonna Jurrah Dunn

A. Selwood Mackenzie Hurn
Green Watts Bennell

Embley Priddis Rosa
Gysberts Trengove Jones

Nicoski Lynch S. Selwood
Grimes Rivers Davey

Hams Kennedy Darling
Bartram Frawley Garland

Cox Shuey Kerr
Jamar Sylvia Moloney

Gaff Naitanui Smith/Sheppard/Stevenson
Tapscott Martin Morton
Strijk
Bail

E: Ebert Swift Smith/Sheppard/Stevenson

In: Hams, Strijk, Smith/Sheppard/Stevenson
Out: Ebert, Dalziell, Brown

This is what I want, not what I think will happen. Ebert won't be dropped but for me it comes down to him or Hams in our forward line, and I think Hams brings more to the team.
