McGinnity didn't play last week and if Lecca gets up as it's looking he will...

Is it though? Reports have suggested he'll be okay for the week after and despite his running work the club is likely to play it safe this early in the season.

Hey guys, what do you guys see as potential midfield match up/tags from your point of view?

I see both teams being pretty evenly matched forward & back & think the midfield is where the game will be won. Your pressure was pretty impressive against the Hawks, I know it's obvious but if you can deny us forward entries like that you'll win

Also, will you guys give anyone a run from your senior team in the WAFL or do you think the short 10 day break kills that idea? Short sighted AFL obviously didn't look at the VFL draw & our VFL team also has a bye this weekend, but not so much of an issue with only having 10 days

We don't have a senior team in the WAFL, our players our scattered across several teams. The eagles and dockers have been pushing for them though.

In regards to midfield matchups,
Davey and Sylvia would get the tags I'd presume, but who depends on where they are playing. If Sylvia spends time forward and in the mids, A.Selwood would probably go to him. I'm not sure where Davey has been playing predominantly this year due to lack of Melbourne game coverage in Perth, so I'm not sure there. S. Selwood and McGinnity are our other taggers, but most of WCE Bigfooty posters don't want McGinnity in, due to his bad kicking.

Moloney has been playing well lately, but I think we will go head-to-head against him, perhaps Priddis? And I think we will go head-to-head against Trengove, possibly with the Shue, now that would be a nice matchup!

Have I missed any?

Brown out, for one of Stevenson, Smith or Swift. Dalziel either has to replace Gaff in the 21 or be dumped - he is not a good fit as a sub. Melbourne is probably a good opportunity to give Gaff another full game - but I'd only use him as a sub against Essendon.

Has Scully actually played at all this season? I don't think he played in the NAB Cup either?

Played a bit of one NAB game, but out for quite a few more weeks yet.

In answer to earlier post, not sure where Davey's currently playing. Has been battling to beat the hard tags, so they've been throwing him round a bit, including up forward.

Should be a good match.

Team is spot on, nice job.

I usually like seeing Rosa on the wing, but with Gaff needing to be played as a starter, Rosa has more utility so as to be played as a HBF instead. Embley could be moved to the HBF instead of Rosa, but Embley's form is white hot atm, so while it lasts it should be taken advantage of.

Ash Smith will play this week , well thats my calculated guess .

Smith has been left out of todays Perth team after a month of top form ,

Hams , Stevens , Dalziell , Houlihan , Brennan are all palying today suggesting none will play this Thuesday .

In Smith , Striijk

Out Brown , Dalziell

B Wilson may get a look in this week , if we need an xtra backman ?

Has Swift played/will play this weekend?

If he hasn't he'll definitely play against Melbourne.

No, the Eagles didn't release any of the Claremont players, obviously they wanted to limit the smashing that Clarence got.:p

Has Smith's WAFL form been that good?

If Shep's been left out of the Sharks side then he might get a recall

I think the Eagles should also withdraw Stevens, Houlihan, Brennan, Dalziell and any other sharks players ahead of the game today Vs South... ;)

But get Hams and Wilson some much-needed match practice? ;)

I like the way snrub thinks

As soon as Lynch's string a few shockers together, Wilson will be back in the Blue and Gold

Wilson won't be back until he starts showing some form, and it's not looking too good for him at this stage, yet to kick a goal in today's game.
