Autopsy Round 6 vs Dees. Three things you learnt?

As long as Tippett is on the park he goes down we are stuffed.
He is certainly helping. The balance was a bit better on the weekend with Tippett still getting one on one opportunities, don't want the ruck help to come at the cost of Tippett dominating mofos in the 50.

Hanners said some insightful things but nothing too surprising.

Moved Buddy up the ground because they realized they were too buddy centric.
Reid in his opinion plays best as that half forward sweeper.

1. Nice to see Horse getting creative on the weekend. Pushing JPK up forward mixed things up a bit and giving Teddy a new role made for good viewing. Wasn't all that long ago we were playing Teddy up forward on a permanent basis.
2. I suspect a lot of what's wrong for us is mental. We've never been the prettiest team in the league, nor the team with the best skills. But on the weekend we seemed a little flat throughout. At the start of the game I remember thinking that we came out happy to absorb Melbourne's pressure, rather than drive the momentum ourselves. I know we were never headed, but we rarely seem to play our best against the lesser teams.
3. Hats off to Dees debutant Stretch who had quite a decent game. But I remember thinking - imagine waiting 20 years to make your AFL debut then having to run out in that pink jersey? Poor bugger.

Haha. I love Ash's previews. No overview of the teams, matchups or predicting a margin, just a brief description of what happened to each team last week and plenty of intro/outro music while wearing a suit in his dad's basement.

Sadly I don't, but a quick google search reveals it stars De Niro and was directed by Scorsese. Can't believe I've never even heard of it.

Honestly might be my favourite of their films. It's a close run-thing between that and Goodfellas, very different films but both great.

I do advise you to track it down ASAP. DeNiro is obviously one huge name but Jerry Lewis co-stars in a "straightman" kind of role and he nails it. He's so damn good in it without his usual wackiness.

1. Liked Tippett in the ruck as he knocked it to places other than front n centre for joey to get gang tackled by multiple other players.
2. Enjoy watching Mitchell give everything to make the most of his chances following an injury free pre-season.
3. Remembered that a win is a win regardless of whether by 1 point or over a 100 points. West Coast in 1996 sure didn't bemoan certain 1 point victories so reckon as a supporter I should take any victory with thankfulness and any loss (where maximum effort is applied) also graciously.
