Anyone worth their salt either started Rankine or will bring him in without seeing him play. Just like what I should have done toDAY with another player to prevent a dirty 31 on field.

I hope the masses jump on Rankine. I obviously won't be.

He doesn’t need to be an on field player, I imagine most will use him as a bench option to make money out of.

Lots of Rank fear in this thread.

EVERY rookie is a gamble this year being injury/low scores/JS so I don’t quite understand the negativity around a kid who was rated so highly in junior ranks. Everything I’ve heard about him says GUN. Yeah he was hurt bleh bleh bleh but most had him pegged in prior rd1 with the same knowledge in hand, so whats changed?

I’m already on him NOW because I don’t want to face the prospect of having to choose between Simpson/Day/Rankine next week. I’m not keen on buying rookies above purchase price when profits have been so minimal.

I’ve got the bandaids ready. Taken punts on worse potatoes before.

Day scoring so well has forced me to alter my trade plans. Was originally going to go 1 up 1 down but will now be double downgrading to Simpson and Day.

Leaves me with 450k in the kitty to do King > Whitfield and Taylor > Smith the week after

That's the plan... I think there will be some cash generation to come with both rookies Simpson & Rankine.

Now just wait for premo injuries rest of this weekend to totally derail my (our) plans..

I’d be wary of Day moving forward, Hawks backs got a lot of free ball in the back half.

Collingwood allowed them to go lateral and rack them up back there. That won’t happen every week. Clarko wouldn’t have liked that game style either.

He will most likely play 2-4 games in a row. Hopefully he makes you some cash in that time before he is dead on the bench.
