Didn't see a Gameday thread yet

First Goal - Parsons
Last Goal - Menzel
Most Touches - Menegola
Most Goals - Menzel
Most Marks - Kolodjashnij
Most Tackles - O'Connor

What I would love to see tonight
- A big game from Smith/Stanley in tandem with clearances, hitouts to advantage and a couple of goals between them
- Harry Taylor dominating the air down back and gaining some real confidence to them swing forward in 3rd qtr and nail a couple of marks and goals
- Dangerwood unleashing with a fiery reminder of how good they are
- O'Connor to show something special
- Motlop to halve a crucial contest by putting his body on the line to then recover and set up a thrilling play
- Menegola GHS and Duncan to thrive in the middle when its their turn
- A hungry team effort with a decent lead anx win
- the above points to be a reality and not my crazy dream

Interesting selections. slow players in, fast players out. Although new guy reported to be quick. Can we lock the ball in our forward zone a little better. Teams are just running it out too easily (that's game plan & structure) . More pressure on the opposition needed. It's been a little embarrassing ! Cats should be 3-4, so it's mediocre vs mediocre tonight!

BE HAPPY WITH NO GOALS BUT ALL HIS KICKS TO BE FLAT AND PENETRATING - NO 7 IRONS
- Dangerwood unleashing with a fiery reminder of how good they are

OCONNOR TO SHOW ANYTHING!
- Motlop to halve a crucial contest by putting his body on the line to then recover and set up a thrilling play
AND MY DAUGHTER HAS A PET UNICORN
- Menegola GHS and Duncan to thrive in the middle when its their turn
2 OF THE 3 ARE ALREADY IMO
- A hungry team effort with a decent lead and win
YES PLEASE!
- the above points to be a reality and not my crazy dream
GO Catters

Hopefully the fact that the media have put the club in the spotlight during the week, It will be the kick up the arse that's been needed & will respond with a solid win tonight.

I'm very glad King highlighted that vision on AFL 360 during the week. They need a public kick up the ass. IF they are getting one behind closed doors, it's not enough.

- Motlop to halve a crucial contest by putting his body on the line to then recover and set up a thrilling play

rather specific requirement! what if motlop only halves a crucial contest by putting his body on the line to then recover and set up a 'reasonably decent' play?

I think I'd be happy Motlop put his body on the line and we left it at that.

To me that's what a step up from the last fortnight of pulling out of contests

i have no problem with players pulling out of contests occasionally. sometimes its a far smarter option, and id be doing it constantly if i was out there. 'jono brown' style 'courage' doesnt impress or interest me personally, and in some ways i always found it a touch selfish, and a lot stupid.

not all AFL players are hard players like rooke, selwood, hodge etc. thats cool. i personally think AFL players 'put their body on the line' every week they play either AFL or VFL, but maybe thats just me.

also think motlops 'shirk' last week is very much being oversold on here.

The brief during the week should have been
* Intensity
* Be first to the ball
* Put pressure on the ball carriers (chase, hustle, tackle)
* Be accountable
If we turn up in that frame of mind, there's no way Essendon gets within 10 goals of us.

I've got confidence that Selwood will sting them into gear.

- 1st touch of the game to Selwood
- 1st goal to Hawkins
- Last goal to Motlop (Junk time specialist)
- Most goals to Hawkins (6)
- Most touches to Dangerfield
- Most Marks to Harry Taylor
- Most tackles to Cockatoo

If this group has any character......they'll make a huge statement tonight!

Congrats to Kell for 300 games.
Once a Cat....,always s Cat!

Id be pretty happy with that :)

Matthew Lloyd makes some pretty good points on our change in game plan in the herald sun today. Basically saying we have changed to defending deeper rather than a front half press which leaves the forward line more open but hurts defensively the other way. Goes on to say we are a long way off a premiership which fires me up. Hopefully we can further learn to eradicate the weaknesses tonight and turn the season around

My hopes for tonight is for the record function on the tv to work so I can actually watch the game after I get home from the trap of social obligations.

And O'Connor to win the inaugural Tom Wills medal. No pressure.

About to head down, after last week will be watching Motlop closely, as I would have had him in VFL this week.

Must win game, can't continue to let these sort of games slip if we want to be genuine too 8 side.

Go Cats!!!!

Be hard to play against. The rest will take care of itself as we have more than enough ability to win easy.
