Reports coming out that other clubs are interested in him the same week he's dropped is a bit on the nose though. I'm assuming manager driven nonsense.

Honestly, if a trade is there... I'd take it. The kid has talent, but I suspect he's going to have injury problems for the rest of his career, and playing for a side with huge travel requirements is just going to make it worse.

As I say before, during and after every game this year, thank **** for Ginbey.

How gross and Grego keep missing out is beyond belief. Johnston and hall now ahead of them

Whilst I agree they should get precedence over those 2, I can think of 2 reasons:

1. Hall's been tagging the past few weeks and HJ has been decent in the forward line, kicked a few snags and tackles well.

2. Both are uncontracted, so maybe they want a final look at them before making a decision on their futures.

How does gross not make the side.
Because they are building him up. Patience required. Same with Bazzo. WAFL is way less demanding. These players need to play well and with confidence ALL the time, not just for 3 weeks at WAFL level. I could name 15 WAFL Eagles stars from the last 3 years that are no longer listed. Let them cook. Make them earn it! If they start to drop off in the WAFL then so be it. Hutchinson should ahead of Gross as he is a required role. Gross next up is fine. I expect Cole, Johnston and Hall to be emergencies. Good Ins this week. Noticeable that they resisted the urge to bring back Matt Flynn. Well done.

We'll get about the same as we did for Chesser. Rather hold onto him, hope he gets a good run with injury and he comes good.

No Gross, no Bazzo. Surprised Edwards in already. Glad to see Hewett in Wafl midfield.
Hope Bo and Hutch gets a gig. No Cole please. Might see HJ.
Bit of a shake up.

Happy to see at least some selection integrity with Hewett and Schoenberg out
The Ins are half good and half perplexing

Happy to see Hutch and Bo Allan in there and similarly we desperately need Harry Edwards in and hopefully back to his 2025 form

Not sure how you bring Jack W unless a tall comes out or he’s played as a ruck / fwd.

The C Hall inclusion is weird - the reports from Wafl have not been complimentary and when we have an issue with skills and defensive running…. I would have thought he’s the last guy you’d bring in

For what it’s worth Bo Allan had pretty minimal impact last weekend (15 disposals, 4 marks, 0 tackles) so if people are concerned about “selection integrity”, I’m not sure why he should be straight back in.

Ok Gross, Bazzo, Dewar, Hewett, Greggo et al have to face the WAFL number 1 team in South Fremantle. Let's see how our AFL listed players go against them before demanding that every WAFL player that gets 20 touches at 60% NEEDS to get selected at AFL level. Our AFL team is so below AFL level at the moment that we should not select players unless their reserves team form is outstanding. I've watched plenty of Bazzo, Gross and Dewar this year. Bazzo gets outmarked in 1 on 1 regularly, lacks height. Gross is small for AFL and his disposal isn't excellent, same with Dewar. Allow these boys to play and learn and build confidence.

Reckon I've seen about 3 'high' free kicks that were nowhere near it.

- Shai Bolton on whoever on the wing, wasn't high.

- That Ginnivan tackle. He was bent over but Johnson tackled him around the torso. Umpire guessed.

- That Dudley free with 1 second to go. Just guessing everything.

Out - Guessing high tackle frees

In - Woke

I think it’s cause we all were made to watch Tom Cole play the wing in 2026.

I think Hutch pipped him. I'm assuming it's HJ (ie our only small forward left) for Owies, Hutchinson for Hewett (HFF and rotate mid). Gross plays the same position as Hutch, but Hutch outshone him in WAFL (just).

He'll get his turn, either through form or injury. Just needs to keep good form in the wafl.

He had a pretty lukewarm few weeks in the ones prior to be dropped. So did Davis, but I suspect the fact Bo didn’t lay a tackle in the drubbing by St Kilda, that cost him his spot in the team.

Like hutch being back a lot. I know ppl hated his extension but I think he will be a really solid player once he hits that 50-60 game mark. Has the athleticism and ability in the contest to succeed at the level .

Davis has had a better few weeks than Allan. Plays the wing role better than Allan and much better tank. That being said I would still like to see Allan playing.

I attended the WAFL on the weekend and noticed they played allan in the backline for the whole game. Maybe they are going to try him back again.

What he has, is a tendancy to eat buttered popcorn directly before the game, he also butchers the pill 🍿

That said,he chased and tackled hard over the weekend, and he's certainly not the worst inclusion at the moment for mine.

The glaring one is the fact Gross and Bazzo have both been left out yet again, for one.

If i'm Gross, what movivation do i actaully have to run out in the WAFL and perform this week? You know you're not getting a look, there's bigger spuds than you being gifted games each week whilst you have to run out with the WAFL amateurs.

And secondly that Tom Cole isn't an immediate OUT after a 7 disposal 0 tackle, zero impact showing against the Tigers.
