That's a pretty good summary and somewhat akin to my playbook.

My main two problems are that I waste a lot of trades on rucks and hold on to my midpricers too long

I have 19 trades left too and need to get 7 uber premos in with 14 trades somehow - the biggest challenge is cash gen!
Same problems with rucks as well this season too JuddgementDay.

Didn’t start with Xerri who I had to sacrifice Sheezel for to get him in early.
Also started with Bryan instead of Flynn who went down, who straight swapped to Draper, got his 100 at flex then he went down, lost a game or two from Jackson but held so he could come back with Shrek playing for a 67 and sort of stuck with him til his bye. Also was forced to grab Flynn on bubble and went early on Finbar Marly for R/F swapping during byes.

Lost count by now on Ruck trades think it could be 5. Thats 4 too many.

It also meant I couldn’t get players like Murphy Reid and Maric and jumped off Humpty early the week he scores a 140.

Now I am just picking up the pieces and seeing if I can put something together. Like an IKEA kitchen with no instructions.

I think I may have to use 5 trades going into the byes on rookie trades to generate even a tiny bit of cash and hold off on some upgrades til round 13.

Was is his outlook like in regards to JS?
Slim to none – likely straight out for NOD next week (could even be sub tonight)

Are many people picking up Erasmus?

What are we expecting from him? A quick sugar hit of cash with the 80 in his cycle? Was is his outlook like in regards to JS?

I really want to make it work, but it's hard to ignore the sentiments of most on here. O'Driscoll is due back very soon and Erasmus presents as a substitute risk. It's a line ball for me, if he can start in the 22 tonight I might go with him.

Don't
Waste time
On
Fielding
Useless
Sub-premos
(get) Bont?

Your idea is intriguing to me

I might subscribe to this theory.

Skip Warner. Skip Dawson. Skip Petracca.
The 'ol 2 down, 1 up (HUGE up) strategy.

Means I field either Hayes/Carroll (looped with Stone) for a week, but gets a mid rookie off the field for BONT

Could grab Merrett instead and bank $100k.

But seriously. It's THE BONT for three low scoring rookies.

1/ Merrett and $100k for future upgrades? (Sinclair next week for M.Hall up and Lindsay down grades)
2/ BONT

Have all 3 of Stewart, Short and Bice.
Not sure who to bin

Stewarts been infuriating and have held thus far hoping he comes good but not convinced
I've been running Stewart all year and if not for the flex and some above average def rookies, he would have been long gone.

I actually didn't realise how bad he had been. This year he has gone: 100, 9, DNP, DNP, 118, DNP, 64 and 67. Dropped 84k with a BE of 125.

I guess the scoring isn't abysmal (mid to high 80s average if you remove the 9) but he seems to be getting knocks every game and spends a shitload of time on the pine getting treatment. And if he's not injured during the game, he's injured at training or copping gastro from a dodgy bahn mi mid week.

On top of all of that we have that campaigner Chris Scott who thinks the league's injury reporting rules don't apply to him and is on a crusade to f#%k with the AFL on that front at every opportunity. So we have less info than usual to make decisions.

Last round was actually a rare occasion where Stewart, who is under an injury cloud every freakin week, was listed as an out on Thursday. So I could at least plan around that.

But I expect they'll be back to their usual tricks this week by naming him tonight and then I won't know until 1:15pm Sunday arvo if he is actually playing. And by then my trade options are very limited.

Why haven't I turfed this campaigner yet? It's becoming self masochistic.

I don’t agree with people completing writing him off. If he avoids the vest tonight and plays well, he can stay in the side regardless of NOD. I’m getting him

I'm taking a chance on him.

Yes yes and yes.

3 rookies for 2 rookies and a Bont is epic trading.

Winning.

If you could bring in a sub $570k mid this week, who would that be? Currently leaning Sinclair, but Libba, Serong, Touk, Anderson, Green also appeal. Unfortunately short $26k to go to Zerrett... but could use my last boost.

Merrett will hover around $600k maybe $30k up or down but around that mark.

Bont is just CD’s golden child and could hover around $700k unless he has a real stinker. Say a 60 point game, but CD will still upscale that to a 120.

I got Merret weeks ago when he went sub $590k. But he is the Bombers fix it player, playing at 150% while the rest of the team is playing at 85%.
He just could burn himself out as the season gets further along. I hope not.

Bont is fresh and has the sidekicks all there looking for him around the ground. Did I mention the groin massages he gets from CD??

Dawson/Dunkey options

Jaicos a decent POD you could eventually move back.

Draper was ballsy for teams like us that jumped into him, but it was short lived - he would have been a good pick.

Anyway, we soldier on and converge our teams

GL with your team, let's check in post byes hey!

That trade looks good but it's not going to be worth it in the long run. Maybe you're happy with a slight loss just to have Bont, but in my view you're better off with Prior,+ Morares/Kako out and one up, one down. The bad Round 12 bye is another factor, and if I were picking someone from that bye, LDU is a far more tantalising prospect than Bont right now.

What would Lorenz' job security be like, do we think?

Also, anyone bringing in Maley? Same deal, would he have strong JS? Considering downgrading Kako for him.

Check with a Port supporter, but for me, the first danger is Book being brought back in
Ken goes back to what he knows when he feels a bit of pressure and Boak's a favorite.
Sinn and maybe Burton might get looked at, but assuming no impact on Lorenz, mainly Boak
Think Maley could get a couple, hard to say re output.
Buttox your man there

I reckon maley goes out when Curtis returns.
Not certain ofc.
He's still tempting as a sideways from Boyd though
