Ok with this 2 trade prospect, I have a dilemma..
I'm going to trade Petterd > Grimes

But then I have K. Simpson in the middle and wana trade him for a premium.

I will have $605,800 to spend on either Judd or Dal Santo?

Will not trade till later in the week of course, but any thoughts would be appreciated :)

Why get rid of Simpson for?

If he is the worst of your problems then you must have a sh1t hot team there,

Well a thought came across that he just having a good patch.. But yeah its just a prospect atm. I have Rich in the midfield but not enough to upgrade.

My midfield is: Selwood, Mitchell, Corey, Goodes, Simpson, Rich (Zaharakis, Ward)

Oh and to clarify about Grimes's back, I know one of the trainers at Melbourne and she said unless he gets a real heavy blow in the back from a knee he'll be fine. That being said, I can confidently say he's gona play rest of the season.

I'd be upgrading Rich before Simpson but no need to rush though.

Thanks for the info on Grimes, that's great news. :thumbsu:

R. Houlihan > J. Grimes
T. Tuck > M. Coughlan

Coughlan is coming back into some good form whilst Grimes looks very impressive for the demons atm and should play out the year

Anyone else thought about straight swapping Krakouer to Porplylzia? Porps seems to have found his scoring boots and is being played more in the midfield the last couple of weeks. He is currently $380K. Krak however seems to be on a downward slide.

I have thought about it but it feels like a sideways luxury and I'd be kicking myself if Krak starts scoring well again.

My team has gone down the toilet so I need to trade underperforming players for guns. I got fevola 2 weeks ago has plastered scores of 22 and 39 so I'm looking at trading him. and maybe upgrading adcock.

Will have to wait and see.

thinking about.....

T.Tuck > Cooney

and

Krakouer > Goodwin

It means I miss out on Broughton, and have no backline emergencies if Houlihan is out again (unless Bock makes a miricle recovery). It also means I'm stuck with Petrenko for another week.

Ok here is my problem area.. my backline! This is it at the moment

Chornes, Goddard, Newman, Milburn, Petterd, Malceski, Patrenko, Suban, Cheney.

I am willing to make 2 trades this week.

A options i have thought about are...

1 - Milburn > Grimes & Suban > Waite
2 - Suban > Broughton & Petterd > Thornton/Enright/Gilbert???
3 - Petterd>Grimes & Malceski>Gilbee
4 - Petters>Broughton & Maceski>Any Backman I don't already have..??
5 - ????

Any thoughts appreciated!

My backline as it stands is: Goddard, Cornes, Adcock, Houlihan, Malceski, Hurn, Hill, Cheney, Petrenko

The following players need to go ASAP:

Houlihan, Malceski, Spudrenko

Option 1:

Out. Houlihan and Malceski
In. Grimes and Gilbee/Newman

Option 2:

Out. Petrenko and Houlihan
In. Broughton and Gilbee/Newman

What do you guys reckon?

IMO I would do the 2nd option you have, Broughton looks good for Freo that should be around for a while and make you some good money. Petterd for Gilbert, Gilbert will continue scoring high you would think.

No mention of Yarran at all but he's on the bubble this week.

A high draft pick and I expect that Rats will want to blood him a bit this year. Has been OK without setting the world on fire. Seems to find space better than he finds the ball at the moment. He is also a small crumbing fwd that the Blues have openly declared they desperately need alongside Betts.

Considering that any rookies traded in now you would want to seriously consider as remaining for the remainder of the season he may be a reasonable punt.

All eyes are on sidebum. Is this because is likely to have a higher immediate $ increase and is cheaper to start. Dont know that he is any more likely to hold his spot long term.

Penny for your thoughts?

(apologies to anyone named Penny as I have just pimped you out)

Yarran and Sidebum on the bubble...blah

Anyone heard of McGlynn???

he's cheaper than T Walker, is averaging 97 and has only played 2 games

There, my secret is out.

Other secret is Shannon Byrnes. Cheapest 85 point forward player in SC

Yes he is, but he costs $375K

Porplyzia is $380K and averaging about the same, but with a better track record

I guess they'd be useful upgrade targets from M Brown though. Make a nice 7th forward in your final team.

Both have low break evens this week whereas Krakouer's is 144!

Both those guys are spuds and wont keep it up IMO or keep their spots. If you have them in your team by the start of finals time you will be in trouble.

Just on Krakouer. Looking at TooSerious he is looking at a big price drop this week with a B/E of 144. However, if he can score at least back into the 80s every week, which seems very possible, then he gets himself back into the $430K mark or so in about 5-6 weeks.

That might be the time that Reiwoldt or someone similar has dropped after a low patch.

I've talked myself into keeping him!
