One thing no one has commented on is how Kiddy C, has settled back into senior footy.

I heard Fages saying he was an automatic selection when Kiddy was named as soon as he was available. I thought this was premature but I stand corrected.

think hipwood comes straight in, for mcstay. building form and confidence in these next few matches should be important as we come into a tough run going after that. will definitely want him firing on all cylinders for the freo and saints games

the mcstay injury probably means a structure shift towards more of what we saw against west coast being cemented - zorko back into the guts and cam playing deep forward. i want to see cam used more up the ground, his strong marks make him a good link up player for our gamestyle imo, but looks like that will have to wait for now

i dont think anyone played poor to the point they should be dropped. maybe gardiner back in for frog but the rankings seem to suggest frog played very well.

Quite surprised not to see Zork in there at all. Noah deserved a vote for sure though - his best game since coming back in by some margin.

Not that it's what we would have chosen, but assuming Hippy, Dan & Joe can all get momentum back into the back half of the season, they each will be somewhat fresher heading into finals than last year.

It felt a bit like Joe particularly might have run out of gas heading into the finals in his first season back from the run of injuries. Wonder if that might be a small silver lining for us as we build momentum in the latter rounds.

I'd say Hipwood and Gardiner back in for McStay and Froggy. Hopefully, McStay's injury isn't too serious, around 3-4 weeks tops which would put him in the frame to return alongside Daniher if all goes well.

I'm expecting Adelaide to come out breathing fire next week. They'd be desperate to atone for a fortnight of disappointment by snaring a win over the second seed for the premiership.

I'm excited to see how Rayner goes. His performances have been getting better and better, he's nearly ready to have the "I've arrived game" where he destroys the opposition, similar to his game against the Suns.

IF Hippy plays, maybe Frampton goes to him and Payne gets Butts, then Doedee to Cam. Reality is most defences play a zone type as opposed to a pure 1 v 1.
If Gardiner fit he comes in for Lester.

That's the beauty of knowing it works - if we need a spark off half back, half forward or the midfield we can confidently put him anywhere and know he'll do well.
