Recommitted Rowan Marshall [OOC 2027] - Requested Trade to Geelong, didn't get done

I don't know how you could watch that game and come to the conclusion the ruck had literally anythinf to do with the ourcome. Fagan would not have used two rucks is Berry was fit

All this was precisely as I stated.

We made the right choice twice.

They asked for Holmes, Dempsey or O'Sullivan. Outside of them we made the right call not to push someone out for a position we didn't need to fill. So don't mate me.

Just because Curnow was available doesn't mean we had to make our team weaker to get him.
Glad we passed on him tbh.

And glad we didn't offer overs for Marshall.

Thrashed in the midfield, except for McCluggage. Then once Cameron got loose Clug got off the chain once the tag was dropped. It was a midfield dominance.

Something Worpel and Bruhn will help address.

I love Oscar McInerney so it pains me to say this but if you think his 8 disposal 15 hit out game did literally anything at all for Brisbane then make sure you breatho yourself before driving

Brisbane are a bad example because their midfield and forward line are so chock full of running talent that they can carry the extra ruck that doesnt contribute forward. Im not convinced that most sides that aren't that good can carry the second ruck playing forward or off the bench without it hurting their structure. I dont think it works for St kilda but we will see.

No they carried the extra ruck because their alternative was the corpse of sam day (we saw how that went in the QF) and they didnt want to risk 2 19yo key forwards in the ruck. Carrying the extra ruck hampered them but it hampered them less than what the alternative would have hampered them and they are elite enough everywhere else to cover it. As I said most other sides are not-most dont play 2 out and out rucks for a reason.
On st kilda I have said my piece-tdk has always been useless anywhere but ruck and while I think Marshall is a bit better hes never really had the output as a forward that would likely be needed to justify this move. Time will tell but I doubt it works.

Deadly.

We made the right choice twice.
Blues were wanting far better players off us than Sydney.
And we offered a fair value price for Marshall.
Fair price
Fair price lol

FAIR?

What about this situation don't you get?

You think Gold Coast sat on their thumb offering a FAIR price for Christin Petracca? Do you think you would have sold Tim Kelly if the Eagles had offered you a FAIR price?

Look at you and Bulldogs and Hawthorn saying you want to take a star player from another club and then only offering a FAIR price!

What is the incentive for a club to sell the player? Are you hoping the club just doesn't want the player that much?

You offer a price that is impossible to refuse or at least impossible to ignore. Or you target a player the club is happy to lose or a player whose contract has expired.

You thought because we told Rowan he could explore his options you could just swan in with your farms and your 3rd party fortunes and charm our boy out of Moorabbin and we'd just say "OK Geelong you can have him for a fair price - good luck in the 2026 GF"?

Lololololololol

We told him he could investigate his options out of respect for the player and his service, knowing he'd probably PREFER to be top dog, knowing it might not be such a bad thing for our list management down the track, but also very clearly not so disorganised that we needed to immediately lose his salary or list spots, and knowing that he's happy to stay at the club (despite the narrative clearly being fed to the media by Geelong)

Fair price hahaha you ****ing LOSERS still have no idea do you?

Wow some people here really need to take a chill pill.
Especially posting on a brand new alt account.

Cats didn’t want to overpay as they have plans for future free agents in their highest position of need, Saints wanted to keep their guy who was contracted.

Not every trade has to happen and people who have no involvement in footy, no ties to the club outside of fandom really don’t need to be getting worked up over something that has very little bearing in our lives.

Saints made a plan and stuck to it, you can’t fault them one bit for keeping a contracted player.
That’s their prerogative.

You ALSO can’t keep swiping the Cats for not going outside of their means when they’ve already shown in the past they don’t do it.
Saints list team didn’t seem fussed, Cats list team didn’t seem fussed.

Just a few rotten apples here SCREECHING (especially one on an alt account) about a bunch of bullshit they have no inside knowledge on
It’s not that deep, it’s the offseason.

Maybe you guys need to find a new hobby if BigFooty is upsetting you this much?

Have a drink or go get some or something? 😂

Nice rant.

Sometimes in life two entities don't align.
You're not obligated to accept what was offered, and we're not obligated to offer what you want.

Again nice rant.

F1, R2 this year and a late 2027 pick is a decent offer, if you didn't want it that is your prerogative but this false narrative we should have been happy to give more and more was fair to ask for is just not the case.

What Is Life Mind Blown GIF

I didn’t say it was just you, but im glad you answered it when I didn’t even tag you.
Suggests you at least have that much self awareness.
And going after me just makes you look even more unhinged mate

I’m doing this to help you, do something better with your life mate.
It’s not that deep…I mean needing to make alt accounts on BigFooty FFS….you're better than this

Has anyone other than Tom Morris mentioned this offer? Twomey and the AFL site both say 19+F2 was Geelong's offer.

If we're worried about false narratives, I'd first be wary about trusting anything Morris says.
