Hasn't Stanley been proof enough of why we can't play 34+ yr old rucks?

De Koning, Briggs, Jackson, Cameron, Meek, Xerri, English, Marshall, Darcy, Draper, Moyle. Only Witts, Gawn and Grundy are still playing at an elite level despite being on the wrong side of 30.

Stanley was never an elite ruckman in his prime let alone now.
Stanley + Goldstein would be an embarrassment. Particularly when you factor in we are very much a premiership contender next year.

Stanley was good this year just had a shocker in GF as we expected him to perform after 5 weeks out

He gave us 10 disposals, 2½ clearances & 25 hitouts per game.

Pittonet is an absolute scrub and he managed 12 disposals, 3 clearances & 24 hitouts.

We're truly scraping the bottom of the barrel right now.




Just envision having a ruck capable of 19 disposals, 5 marks, 4 clearances & 27 hitouts every game!

Pretty sure Marshall even has more hitouts to advantage than TDK does but neither is great at it.

Their value is basically playing as extra mid
