Tredrea said on 9 sport tonight that he WILL now undergo surgery in the next day or two, and it will be another 8 weeks till he's back. Leg hasn't healed like they thought it would.
If so why is our club misleading us with that media release? I know our clubs admin is inept and really poorly ran, but still, do they have to lie about every damm thing?

Yes the banking way...
THe club wrote he is out for another 4 weeks. Treadrea said he wont be back for eight, he is sensationalising the story because if you think about it he will need at least an extra 4 weeks to get his fitness up to scratch to play AFL but doesn't mean he wont play SANFL. He was really struggling with his fitness in the first few games of the year with a limited preseason

If he's having surgery for a fractured leg, it's pretty unlikely that he'll be playing football again in 4 weeks.

I am guessing it is because they don't want to publicly admit that the wrong course of action was taken with his injury.

Saying "his injury is healing slower than expected" is better than, "Due to our medical staff suggesting the wrong course of action for his injury, Brad Crouch will now have to spend a further 6-8 weeks on the sidelines as he will have to undergo surgery to repair his broken leg".

So, sir - when did you stop beating your wife?

Yeah. the only reason he could be healing slowly is because of the systematic incompetence and malpractice of our medical staff.

basically season over for crouch, if he is getting surgery he wont be out there again this year and nor should he. just get him right.

There's a rumour circulating amongst Collingwood faithful that they're a chance of getting flogged tonight.

Cos Tredders would know the full story!!

We didn't replace our medical people with the rub down guys did we? You know like we did with the fitness staff....

Poor form and disrespectful to the medical professionals at our club.

Injuries can be unpredictable, fractures can look better or worse on X-ray than they actually are(which is why they get serial X-rays and reassess people) and surgery (although it's common in sports) comes with significant risks.

Even if he did have surgery initially it would be unlikely to make a difference to his overall healing time and process.
