I believe Ryan Murphy will become one of the best players in the AFL. He is a great talent.

I don't know. He is a good player but i don't know if he will be one of the best.

Better than Daniel Schell, Daniel Bandy, Daniel Parker, Daniel Metropolis ....... well you can see the pattern.

Seriously it is hard to judge players in their first year, the AFL production line has meant that players are fast tracked and are unable to build up slowly over a couple of years in the feeder leagues.

Nonetheless Murphy and Mundy should emerge from the promising basket next year into the good young player basket.

You would hope so, although its hard to tell with players who have really yet to play at AFL level, especially key position players.

Ask any e-girl fan and McDougall will be the next Wayne Carey, despite spending 3 years rooted to the goalsquare and having done exactly 2/5ths of ******** all in his career to date.

McDougall > Any Fremantle FF

Longmuir??
Delusion...
Simmonds??
Doubtful

McDougal hears footsteps always has and always will, forget about his ability, he is ******** scared on the field and will never amount to anything.

Exactly my point.

FFS, The man averages 1 goal a game playing nowhere but the goalsquare! I reckon Dan Parker had a better average than that, and he was just about the greatest oxygen thief our club has ever seen.

Dan Parker >= McDougall. ;)

Longmuir... delusionsal? Hahhahaha.

McDougall, Age 21, Goals 35.29
Simmonds, Age 26, Goals 35.18
Longmuir, Age 23, Goals 27.14

doogs averages more goals than barry hall after the same number of games and something like half a goal less than tarrant.

we've got our full forward. now its your turn.

Yeah you guys have a FF. You even have an excellent FB. Emerging CHB and CHFs. THe best midfield in the league. Gee, wonder why you come 8th? With all the best players i wonder where the weakness is. I guess you shouldn't trade at all, cause you have the best list.

ITS GROUNDHOG DAY!!!! Every year you claim to have all the spots filled. And are looking forward to a premiership and fall dismally short. WAKE UP JEFF AND EAGLES. Your not the best, we're not the best. Improvement is not inevitable.

Your KP players are your weakness. Gardiner may improve that standing if he recovers well from the op. Possibly a good option up forward. But your still short another 2 KP's. Glass is serviceable FB, all others are pretty ordinary. Comparing McDOugall to Tarrant is like comparing chalk and cheese. A FF compared with a CHF. Why not compare who was taking more marks in the forward 50.

Didn't BBBH play CHB when he started?
Comparing his stats this year to JLo is stupid, as JLo spent most of the year playing in the ruck.

And be careful of comparisons...
Andrew McDougall's first 3 years...
33 games, 44.37
Kinglsey Hunter's first 3 years...
30 games, 65.47!

And Hunter didn't have Judd, Cousins, Kerr, Embley, Fletcher etc kicking him the ball either!

Thats because Longmuir is a crab at FF and had no impact. Probably kicked more goals with a run in the ruck than if had been left at FF all year. Face it, you have NO fullforward and for all you know Ryan Murphy could be the next Daniel Schell, a star in the WAFL and a liability at AFL level.

I think you should spend less time talking about the eagles lack of KPP, becoz last time i checked, the dockers didnt have many either.
No forward line, Haddril is good, but glass is better, and Mcpharlin was your only shining light before injury. Polak hasnt proved himself yet.

And i dont think Ryan "donut" Murphy will be your answer up forward. If all the other eagles KP are ordinary, then why did they shut down and totally demolish the dockers in the rnd 21 derby?

Dean Cox, 16 disp, 5 marks, 0 goals
Darren Glass, 8 disp, 2 marks, 0 goals
Quinten Lynch, 16 disp, 6 marks, 0 goals
Andrew McDougall, 8 disp, 3 marks, 1 goals
Mark Seaby, 4 disp, 2 marks, 0 goals
Brent Staker, 9 disp, 5 marks, 2 goals
Total WCE KPP, 61 disp, 23 marks, 3 goals

Robert Haddrill, 13 disp, 2 marks, 0 goals
Justin Longmuir, 14 disp, 5 marks, 1 goals
Graham Polak, 12 disp, 4 marks, 0 goals
Aaron Sandilands, 11 disp, 3 marks, 0 goals
Scott Thornton, 9 disp, 1 marks, 0 goals
Troy Simmonds, 6 disp, 2 marks, 1 goals
Total Freo KPP, 65 disp, 17 marks, 2 goals

I wouldn't say it was either side's KPPs that did the demolishing in the derby.
And we didn't actually start the our KPPs are better than yours bit... Rob just made a comment that it's hard to judge young KPPs, as WCE fans reckon McDougall's going to be a star, but he hasn't done much yet. Coasting then weighed in with the > troll, we've just fought back with stats.

And yes coasting, Murphy could be another Fewster (I don't think Schell even did that much in the WAFL!) but it was a Pies fan who started this all, and none of us really said much more than "we hope so!". And we all do hope that we'll find a decent FF. And just remember that your only decent FF was a South Freo boy! (Cummings' one good year doesn't count if you exclude Modra from being a good Freo FF!)

Come to expect comments like that from E-girls supporters. They've got no idea!
How's the comment, "for all you know Murphy could be another Schell." Unlike E-girls supporters we can judge talent and Murphy is no Daniel Schell thats for sure. For one, Murphy kicks goals, Schell had a conversion rate of about 30%.
