Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the Season 31 SFA Qooty Tipping contest. After an off season that consisted of a mediocre State of Origin, the SFA is back and round 1 saw 6 teams get a win and 6 teams take an L to open their accounts.

Here is a breakdown of each game:

With 19 tipsters entering the competition, there was some wonderful tipping by Barrybran and philreich, both getting 5/6 games correct, but with the perfect start to the season, Cadsky managed to get all 6 games correct and a margin differential of just 7 points!! Congrats Cads.

At the other end of the spectrum, Tonga Bob and PhenomenalV1 were dire indeed, getting just 1/6 tips correct, but as you might have guessed, there was someone worse. That's right, our dear friend serial_thrilla got not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, but SIX tips incorrect, giving him a big fat goose egg for the round. The only good thing about ST's round is he guessed a margin of just 12 points, meaning if he tipped the complete opposite, he would've won the round. Suck s**t frilla.

Two rounds in and the Warriors are undefeated on top of the ladder and everyone is excited about it! Some fairly average tipping in round 2 if I'm being honest.

Round 2 saw a decent effort but not quite as good as round 1, with the average tips down from 3.3 to 3.1. Unfortunately no one was able to score a perfect 6/6 this week, but we did have seven tipsters manage 4, only to be out done by Warriors rookie DockerDen5215 who tipped 5/6, only missing on the Hawks. Barrybran (1), Riviat (2) and ClarkeM (2) were at the lower end of the tipsters this week, however, after getting 4 correct in week one, Bastyy sucked ass this week and only managed to score a BIG FAT ZERO! That means that DD5215 can pick whatever avatar he wants for Bastyy for the entire week!

After two weeks, we have Cadsky, DockerDen5215 and philreich leading the way with 9 correct tips. Down the bottom is serial_thrilla with just 3 correct tips, followed by Riviat, ClarkeM and Bastyy on just 4.

A very good round for those that forgot to submit their tips, with 5 of the 6 away teams getting the win in Round 3. Barrybran and TheInjuryFactory took advantage of this, both getting 5/6 tips correct with a margin difference of 63. PhenomenalV1 managed to tip 5 correct, but forgot the margin, so he too sat with 5(63), meaning that our winner this week, scoring 5 tips correct and a margin differential of just 18 points is PMBangers! Congrats Bang. At the other end of the spectrum, the pre-season tipping of all home teams for ClarkeM and Riviat meant they managed just 1 correct tip. Another week, another win for the Wazzas but the tipping this week was dreadful.

This week, our tipsters were very disappointed with the Royals (tipped by 10 tipsters), Hawks (12) and Swamprats (10) all losing their round 4 games bringing down the average tips significantly. We were down to just 14 tipsters submitting their tips this week, and of those that got in, the average correct tips was just a mere 2.6. This has been our lowest round of the season so far. Riviat and ClarkeM with their pre-season selections of all home teams bounced back this week to claim 4 correct tips, as well as Callums_Guns selecting four winners, however, all three of them were off the margin. One of the best Wazzas this season Test Tickle, not only got 4 correct tips, but also hit the nail on the head with his margin this week, spot on with 9! Congrats to this weeks winner, Testy! At the other end of the scale, Barrybran, Bastyy, TheInjuryFactory, Tonga Bob and Wosh all forgot to submit their tips. Baring them, we had a few on two votes as well as Cadsky getting just the one tip and 8 from the margin. The sadness of the Warriors losing, to go along with an enquiry into potential cheating, has forced me into waiting an extra day to post results.

MOD NOTE:
A full 24 hour investigation into the tipping of MC Bad Genius ensued after the relatively unknown tipster managed to correctly tip a draw in the Round 5 matchup of the Swamprats and the Wonders. It turns out that MCBG fluked his way into tipping a draw and had no ties to any match simmers or posters. He also submitted his tips before both teams had submitted their team sheets, meaning that there was no foul play involved. Due to MCBG correctly tipping a draw, I have awarded him double points for this, whilst everyone else gets a single tip correct.

A pretty strong week tipping wise, with an average of 3.6 correct tips per tipster, aided by the above mentioned draw between the Rats and Wonders. The Mount Buller Demons were the biggest disappointment of the week, with 14 tipsters backing them in the get the job done over the lowly Furies, but the boys in pink went to the Snow Bunny Strip Club victorious over the weekend. The Roys (13) and Dragons (12) were the tipsters favourites that got the jobs done for our tipsters with the rest of the games fairly even. At the top of the tipping this week we had a few tipsters manage 5's, with Barrybran (7 away from the margin), DockerDen5215 (7 away) and omgfridge (12 away), but there were two tipsters that stood out above all others, each with their own reason. Firstly, the above mentioned MC Bad Genius managed to correctly tip a draw between the Rats and Wonders which is something this competition has never seen (most likely, I didn't check). He was awarded a bonus tip for getting the draw, but missed out on the Gumbies v Warriors game, so he finished with a 6 but was a wild 57 points away from the margin of the MOTR. That means that the winner of this round, getting 6 correct tips and a margin of only 8 away is Wosh! At the other end of the scale, we had 4 tipsters manage just 1 correct tip to go along with the tip for the draw. Those were philreich (1 away from margin), PMBangers (7 away), Callums_Guns (10 away) and this weeks LOSER Bastyy (19 away). Wosh, you may now choose an avatar for Bastyy for the rest of this week.

So you geniuses decided to all basically tip the exact same this week which made it easy for me but made you guys look like mugs. Out of the 10 tipsters of this week, four of you tipped the exact same and got 3/6. The average tips this week was down to just 2.9, down from 3.6 last week. The most interesting point of this week for tipsters is that we had two people tip 4, seven people tip 3 and one person tip 0. The Bears (7 tipsters), Dragons (7) and Bombers (8) were the favourites that got up for our tipsters, and on the other end it was the Royals (8) and Gumbies (9) that let the tipsters down in Round 6. MC Bad Genius was very good getting just 25 points away from the margin with four correct tips, but it was Cadsky this week who won the tips, being just 12 points away from the margin. Congrats cads. At the other end, it was an easy one this week. Going from chocolates last week to boiled lollies this week, we have Wosh who managed to get 6/6 tips incorrect, flipping from the perfect week last week. Another average week for tipsters, our average correct tips this week was just 2.8. Only three tipsters forgot to enter tips this week, which is a vast improvement. Most of the tips this week were split almost down the middle, with the Demons-Royals game split 8-8, The Wonders-Bears, Gumbies-Dragons, Swamprats-Bombers and Warriors-Hawks games all split 9-7. The rejuvenated Furies (5 tipsters) upset a lot of tipsters this week getting the job done over the Roys. At the top of the tipping this week, we had DockerDen5215, GWS Goose, Test Tickle, TheInjuryFactory and Wosh all with 4 correct tips. However, taking out this week's top prize was Cadsky once again with 5 correct tips and only 6 points off the margin. At the bottom of the tips, we had Barrybran, Callums_Guns, omgfridge, PhenomenalV1, philreich, PMBangers and serial_thrilla all managed just 2 correct tips, but with just 1 tip and 5 points off the margin was NaturalDisaster! The end of the season has come, and finals are now upon us. Just want to give a big thanks to all 19 tipsters that joined this season, was fun to run with you all.

Was hard to figure out exact numbers as not everyone entered tips all season, but this is what I've come up with. We had a total of 19 tipsters this season and collectively tipped at a 36.6% clip. If you exclude all the rounds where tipsters did not actually enter any tips, that number goes up to 50.6%. So congrats on being slightly above average you mugs. There were 6 tipsters this season that managed to get 6 correct tips in a round compared to just 3 tipsters going 0/6.

In LAST place for the season we have Bastyy.

Bastyy only tipped in Rounds 1, 3, 4 and 17 this season, managing a piss poor 9 correct tips and being 660 points away on margins. His best week was Round 1 where he went 4/6 (6) and his worst round was every round he didn't tip. His average correct tips per week tipped was 2.3.

Like Bastyy, Baz didn't tip every round, only managing to submit tips in 5 round this season, garnering 16 correct tips and margin of 663 away. His best week was Round 5 where he went 5/6 (7) and his worst round was Round 2 where he went 1/6 (28). His average tips per week was 3.2.

Phenom tipped in 6 round this season and managed 17 correct tips with a total of 630 away from the margin. His best week was Round 3 going 5/6 (63) and his worst round was Round 1 going 1/6 (4). His average tips per week was 2.8.

Bangers dropped off late in the season, missing seven of the last 9 rounds of tipping after being competitive at the start of the season. In total Bangers managed to get 27 correct tips and 494 off the margin. His best week was Round Round 3 going 5/6 (18) and his worst week was Round Round 15 2/6 (39). Bangers correctly tipped 2/6 in 6 out of 10 rounds tipped in #consistency. His average tips per week was 2.7.

Fridgey also missed the latter part of the season, tipping in 10 rounds and missing the last 6. In total he managed to get 28 correct tips and a margin of 411. His best week was Round 5 going 5/6 (12) and his worst week was Round 4 1/6 (8). His average tips per week was 2.8.

In 13th place for the season we have TheInjuryFactory.

TIF was upset that his tips would not be counted but bounced back and tipped on and off for the rest of the season. He tipped in 10 rounds this season, managing a total of 36 correct tips and 549 off the margin. His best week was Round 14 going 5/6 (20) and his worst week was Round 8 going 1/6 (15). His average tips per week was an impressive 3.6. This was good enough to be the second best average tips per week in the comp.

In 12th place for the season we have Tonga Bob.

Bob was the opposite of most of our lower echelon tipsters, only tipping in 3 of the first 8 rounds, but then hit 6/6 in round 9 and didn't miss a week from there. Bob tipped a total of 37 this season with 493 off the margin. His best week was Round 14 going 6/6 (7) as well as a 6 in Round 9 and his worst week was Round 11 going 1/6 (28). His average tips per week was 3.4. Bob was the only tipsters to get multiple 6/6 weeks.

In 11th place for the season we have NaturalDisaster.

ND only missed 3 weeks of tipping this season, managing a total of 41 correct tips and 446 off the margin. His best week was round 9 going 5/6 (11) and his worst week was Round 7 going 1/6 (5). His average tips per week was 2.9. ND now holds the record for furthest margin in a week, missing out in Round 12 by 151 points.

In 10th place for the season we have GWS Goose.

Goose only missed 5 weeks of tipping this season, managing a total of 44 correct tips and 675 off the margin. His best week was Round 11 going 5/6 (27) and his worst week was Round 17 going 2/6 (69). His average tips per week was 3.7. Goose was the most consistent tipster this season, getting 5/6 one time, 4/6 seven times, 3/6 three times and 2/6 once. He also had the best average tips per week and would have won the competition had he tipped an extra 2 rounds at this average.
