The circumstances surrounding their participation were indeed wacky, but Euro92 was an 8-team tournament held in Scandinavia and the Danes had Peter Schmeichel and Brian Laudrup.

It was an upset (20/1 pre-tournament), but not beyond the realm of reality (Greece were 150/1 with a squad of no-names).
Went to the Netherlands - Germany game in Gothenburg in 92. One of the best sporting events I've ever been to for atmosphere. That Dutch team was packed full of superstars: Gullit, Van Basten, Rijkaard, Koeman, de Boer, Bergkamp etc. Denmark getting over them in the semis was a massive shock.

I do look forward to all the comparisons we can make about how much more professional Josh Carr is:

  • no lolly teeth
  • no airplanes
  • no crap like “It’s a tough competition and someone has to lose”
  • no giggling after losses

Not sure where to put this but Jesse Palmer's been signed to play for Victoria's take on Norwood in the EFNL for 2026.

Who the feck is Jesse Palmer and what's his connection to Kenny Hinkley?

Edit: was on our list 2015 - 2017 and played 3 games under Daddy Donuts.

"Off the back of an admirable 13 seasons at the helm, Ken Hinkley’s departs the club, handing the reigns to assistant coach Carr."

What was admirable about Hinkley's 13 failed seasons at Port?

Any time you keep a job for 13 straight years and meet your minimum expectations 0 times, it's admirable someone didn't notice or fire you.

Ange got 39 days wasn’t it?
Stinkley got 13yrs.
Digest that for a minute and not feel like vomiting.
Marinakis v Koch.

A mad crazy billionaire who can afford to pay out someone for £3 million for 39 days work vs a bloviated media personality who loves stability and has no real money to contribute to fix up his **** ups.

Ken would have got himself sacked any day if he was getting a £3 million pay out.

Mates’ group chat randomly brought up Billy Brownless and his country/local footy club spin-the-wheel roadshow on The Footy Show back in the day.

I went to YouTube for a hit of nostalgia and copped this nice and early:

Kenny From/In Camperdown!

The sheer charisma and eloquence of the man bursts through the screen like the lass from The Ring, doesn’t it?!

🥲

Has Whateley’s wet dream landed another gig yet, or is he still loitering around the edges of Alberton as no one else will hire him?

Sounds like he's chosen to take a sabbatical - or has the sabbatical chosen him...

Ken’s having the time of his life, money to burn and not a worry in the world.
Who said you need to be successful to have a good life.
