Agree it's a shame for Fulham as they were having a great season and Saha has left a gaping hole....

Interesting to see what they do with the Moulah... Go for another striker straight away or Bank and Hold out for the Summer

Very disappointing for Fulham.

As we found out with Wayne Bridge and possibly Beattie down the track, it doesn't matter how much the club wants to keep the player and continually reject bids for the player, once they want to go there is nothing that can be done.

I hope Saha does well for us, but I reckon we're paying way over the odds for him.

Viduka at 5 million or so would have been much better value.

Yeah cos thats something that Man Utd need to worry about, value for money:rolleyes:

Ps. Although I believe that Viduka is a dud, he prolly would have fit quite well into the Man Utd team and set up. Although there is always the chance of that brain explosion.

Top Scorers: Premiership

Player Goals
1 Alan Shearer (Newcastle) 16
2 Ruud van Nistelrooy (Man Utd) 14
3 Thierry Henry (Arsenal) 13
4 Louis Saha (Fulham) 13

Hmm the stats seem to suggest that he is a pretty good goalscorer. Add that to the fact that Fulham are a pretty poor side, and you realise that Saha is actually good. With the chances that he will receive at Man Utd, he will have no problems scoring.

Man U are getting ripped off by about £7m. Saha is not that good...

Rubbish.

He is/was the reason for Fulham's charge up the Premiership table.

The pecking order will have to be against him, one would think.

Sure, he's on their list, but he still has a battle on his hands to get selected.

Other than that, yes...Louis Saha is a gun.

Disappointing but inevitable if it turns out to be true, another kick in the teeth for football ethics. I think United are overpaying, and I don't think he will have a huge impact for United. His value would be obvious if RVN got injured, and this is one area where they are very vulnerable. With RVN, Saha, Soljskaer (in a week or so) ahead of him in the queue for a game I wouldnt be surprised to see Diego flogged off to whatever team is stupid enough to fork out a couple of million for him.

Papers are also saying that Leeds in their current situation would not be able to knock back £3m for Viduka, there is plenty of talk that he has already played his last game for dirty Leeds.

Considering we have a whole choice of 2 strikers, I doubt it.

True, but it depends on how Fergie uses his squad - often it's Ruud up front alone, such is the success of Scholes and recently Kleberson in the role just behind the striker. With Solskjaer back in a week or so too, there's no guarantee that Forlan will get a regular game, Saha or no Saha. Same old story really.

If true this is why the EPL is bull**** these days. Fulham are sixth, and sell one of their best players to the team thats on top. Making a bigger gap between the top few and the rest.

I pray they never get rid of the salary cap/draft in the AFL

(And yes, I am a Chelsea supporter, but I have been since the 80s so there's no bandwagon involved and what Abramovich is doing is certainly not good for the competition).

It'll be sad to see what will become of Chelsea when Uncle Roman gets bored and sells the club or something. If you don't think it'll happen, then ... he's shown interest in buying Parma as well, so you can probably bet on him not being around in 5 years time.

United have shown an amazing ability to pay too much for players - hello Rio, Veron, Yorke, and co.

I don't think it's unreasonable to say that we're paying too much for Saha if the reports are true.

I wouldn't be surprised if Viduka comes in and Forlan goes out. Forlan doesn't provide anything that Saha and Solksjaer can't provide.

It would leave RVN, Viduka, and Saha as the strikers with Scholes, Giggs, and Solksjaer capable of playing as forwards. My assumption is that Solksjaer will be used on the right wing (as he did to great effect in the run in last season) - he'll be more reliable in that role than Fletcher or Ronaldo.

Actually, teams raiding other teams has been going on even before the EPL started.

I'd argue that with the transfer window, the raids are probably less common than in the days of the transfer window being open for most of the season. IT's just that with the transfer window, the media wring everything they can out of every transfer story.

Further to Viduka to the rags for £3m, a few at work are saying that Leeds are prepared to let him go on loan to get his wages off the books.

Also the MUEN are saying that Chelsea are going to match Uniteds bid for Saha, haven't read the article, but could be interesting.

Yep thanks for putting 10 Million Pounds into Deadly Doug's ever growing pocket.

Yorke wasn't all that bad though well at least compared to what he's doing at Blackburn these days;)
