I'm from geelong and dont get many chances to talk with other saints fans down here. Does anyone know whoapplied for the saints ass coaching job, why did Wallis really leave?

As far as I know we are in the process of hiring a football operations manager. Once that is settled we will look to hire an assistant coach. There was a big list of candidates for the position at Carlton so there will be plenty of interest out there.

It was a shame that Dean Wallis left because it appeared that he had really embraced the club and was having a positive impact but he received an offer to return to his original club and he took it. It would have been preferable for him to have made the decision a little earlier but I don't think there would be any hard feelings towards him by anyone at the club.
