The saints have a knack of picking up effective, ungainly backmen. We just get the ungainly part right.

Actually we picked up Gilbert at pick 33 in the 2005 draft, our first pick after we traded our first round away for Fergus Watts.

Very good selection, he's coming along nicely. Has a rugby background so he's an excellent tackler

looks like gilbert will miss out on risng star nominee again this week, the irish bloke martin clarke got 3 goals and nearly 20 possessions. not bad considering the 18 year old only picked up the game a year ago.
btw gilbert is pick 33 number 19.
