Oh it turns out it was Warren Tredrea who gave Connor Rozee full votes. SMH, this was as stupid as Bitter KB giving Ryan Griffen no votes all those years ago to ensure Deledio would win..
And this is one of the many things that make the voting panel a mockery. It's always vested interests. SA selector always has to favour the home town boy. Same with WA selector, if there's a candidate. It's like awarding mark of the year on the basis of a fan vote.![]()

The lack of respect this kid gets from the media is unbelievable. Ever since Cornes started his one man crusade for Rozee the rest of the media pack have followed suit. Was listening to RSN this morning and they were comparing him & Worpel
and who had the better year. Worpel has played one too many games last season to qualify to this year’s Rising Star but they made it obvious it would have been's Worpel's trophy if he was eligible. FFS, what does this kid have to do to get the credit he deserves. Not even getting the most possessions in a rookie year is enough for these *******s.
I stand corrected. It was Puke Darcy, not Tredrea. Tredders had the integrity to give Walsh Max Votes.
Worpel avg 26.5 touches, 6 clearances, 5 tackles.
Think about the year Cripps lost to Hogan. Worpel's basic stats are slightly better still.
Definitely would have challenged Walsh for the win.
Worpel should never have got to Hawthorn's pick. Somehow, in a matter of months, he went from a potential #1 pick to pick 45.
