Did anyone else here Greg Denham on SEN this morning say that Melbourne went to Geelong yesterday and interviewed Sando him?

Geez i doubt he would get the job ahead of others in the mix but it says alot about MFC they are looking at everything and everyone they are pro about it.

I'd say that Bucks and Sando are probably friends from playing at Collingwood together. Both are also from Adelaide.

Would you think that they would drive that far for a reference. It's a long way and their supporters can't seem to make it that far.

I reckon Sando's had a fairly large impact on the way we're going this year and it certainly wouldn't surprise that he's being looked at.

Definitely want him to stay, though! He's a GFC man through and through for mine and it would be great to keep him on for a while.`

i am sure andy lovell, being a past assistant, is just waiting by the phone for a senior role.

Getting rid of that hack Lovell and appointing Sando has been massive in turning this playing group around from what was a pretty mickey mouse outfit last year.

Would be very dissapointed if Sando left us next season.

Sando has been a part of a massive re-generation in the Cats this year. Although it would be sad for him to leave it is a natural progession and a compliment to himself and the GFC as a whole.

Honestly though, it would seem that coaches appointed these days must have a prerequisite ticked off before applying for senior coaching roles nowdays:
Been an active participant (Coach or Player) in a Grand Final victory? Y/N

Ease up on Lovell!! He isn't and wasn't that bad of a coach! He had some good tactics and structures in play... what about Cresswell?? I thought he was going to be the next big thing in assistant coaches and look where he is now.. struggling to maintain some respect for the Tassie Devils!

Could it be anyones else at the Cattery? Isnt Hinkley highly regarded?
