Fear not, I am uploading the Round 15 video now traveller stab!

In the future if there is ever any week where you find yourself unable to upload the 'Crows in the SANFL' highlights for whatever reason, shoot me off a PM or contact me through YouTube where I am more likely to find it, and I shall happily do the honours.

Not sure why you'd need to be a BigPond member to access the video
I've never payed Telstra a cent in my life and there is no video on the site that I can't access, steaming it on their video player however is another issue entirely

Appreciate it dude :thumbsu: Unfortunately I'm going to be unable to do it for pretty much the rest of the season, I'm here in the states until September.

I have Bigpond ADSL when I'm in Australia which is why I'm a Bigpond member, figured it would be good enough to view stuff overseas but apparently not. Hopefully I can get some answers from them soon.

Drummond - good to see you on the Martin bandwagon ;) I'm still not 100% sold (haven't seen the latest game mind you) but at this stage the only query I have is his disposal, which is by all reports improving well. Tell you what, if he does make it it'll be a great story, from a little dude in the U19s to last pick on the rookie draft to BOG in a reserves GF to consistent league performer and then upgraded to an AFL list.

Crows in the SANFL - Round 15
Featuring Highlights of Adelaide Crows-listed youngsters Tony Armstrong, Phil Davis & Rory Sloane playing for North Adelaide in Round 15 SANFL action against Norwood at Prospect Oval.

#20 - Tony Armstrong (0:12)
#34 - Phil Davis (2:16)
#19 - Rory Sloane (3:54)

I'm pretty busy here so I won't do my usual page-long summary but I'll say say that all three players looked good but I still worry about Sloane's disposal. He looks like he has trouble hitting targets when he's under pressure, which you would imagine he is always going to be in his role. Hopefully the club is working with him on it.

I remember one bit of play where Sloane was running down the middle, got to about 50 and should have had a shot.. instead he tried to do a short pass to Damon White and it fell short (a 25-30m pass for christ sake but a lot of his team mates had that problem). It is something that definitely needs improving before he will become a decent SANFL player, let alone AFL.

How good was it to see Davis, Sloane an Armstrong combining together?? I like the look of all three and can see them all eventually slotting into our team.

Its great that Davis, Sloane an Armstrong combining together at the roosters. It is very likely in the years ahead that they will also be combining in the crows back line. They will Know each other game inside out.

Davis and Armstrong look brilliant in that vid.

Yeah I think we've found our Andrew Mcleod replacement, likely won't be as good, but still looks like he could be a very good half-back/winger, is just so calm when he has the footy and disposal both sides of the body looks to be top notch and to think, many here thought he should be delisted at the end of last year.

Makes you wonder how he failed to even play a single league game last year.

I know Martin is playing some good consistent footy in the seniors. My only question of upgrading him is actually in regards to where we're going to play him. I see him very much in the Douglas mould (this is only from the afc highlights package mind you) and i would imagine Douglas would be a fair way ahead of him in the pecking order. I'm just worried that Martin may be one of those players who rips it up in the Sanfl, but won't be as good at afl level.

leave Marin as a rookie listed player

He is good enough to make it in the AFL. But not with us. Our team is just too good for him to get a spot in the near future

plus we need the salary cap room to keep Tippett ;)

Martin looked pretty good in the Indigenous game and the NAB cup and NAB challenge games earlier in the year and I have notice improvement in him throughout the season.

Change of coach at the ***** seems to have done him a world of good

He was struggling with homesickness and such last year wasn't he? Fell off the face of the earth but he's gotten quality support from the club and we're seeing some of the benefits now.

Approaching his draft year it was thought that Armstrong had perhaps the best foot skills in the entire draft. That looms as pure gold for us if he can make the transition to AFL footy (which he should).

I also worry about that but still, we won't know that until he does play. As for what position he will play, he just has to keep playing good footy and a spot will open up. He could play a small anywhere, as a rotating mid, a wingman, or a flanker at either end. If he keeps form up, when injuries/form slumps occur he'll be in line for a spot and from there he's got to impress enough to keep getting more spots.

The AFL are thinking of allowing clubs to trade rookies. If there is no place for him in the team then the club may be able to trade him to another club. You could think of it as upgrading a low rookie draft pick to a mid level national draft pick.

That's the one! :thumbsu: Very, very special bit of play. The confidence to not only take on the first player with some quick thinking, but to then take a bounce while still in a crowded area and the neat delivery into the forward was just the icing on the cake.

He had a tremendous game, easily his best at SANFL level from what I've seen. His disposal puzzles me because sometimes it's first rate as it was on Saturday and then others it's all over the shop with very simple mistakes. He's extremely quick, has a nice leap, is brave and tackles well, and he shows a very good sidestep and ability to win the ball in traffic. I think he's a good shot at being upgraded and it's true that his improvement has been surreal. We plucked him after a good U/19 finals showing, last year he stepped up to reserves level, starred there and even managed to play 5 or so league games with some success. This year he's been a consistent league footballer and has regularly picked up 25 odd possessions. He's done everything that could've been asked of him and I honestly think he's a chance at having success at the highest level. :thumbsu: He just needs to keep working on his disposal and decision making.

Haha I'm glad you finally see the light ;)
Good to have you on board, Drum.
