Round 17 2009:
Saturday 25th July
Eagles v North - Woodville
* Key forward Trent Hentschel continues to gain momentum in his 27th AFL comeback as he's named in the Eagles league side for the first time this season I believe. He's named at FF while Petrenko is named in the back pocket. For North Phil Davis is named in the back pocket, Armstrong on the HBF and Rory Sloane on an extended interchange but should play. I assume Greg Gallman is in the reserves but I couldn't be bothered checking, not worth the effort.
Glenelg v Central - Glenelg (ABC TV)
* Unfortunately there are no Crows players in the league game which will be televised. You could technically count Jonathon Griffin but I won't because he's so average. The "future Dean Cox" will be hoping to build on his impressive 4 possession game last week. This game promises to be a gem, 1st v 2nd, GF rematch and likely 2009 GF. The only action on the Crows front is in the reserves where fellow rookies Ricky Henderson and Brian Donnelly will line-up with their respective clubs. I guess it's possibe Douglas could play but even if he's dropped he's probably going to be on standby.
Norwood v South - Norwood
* Will Young the superstar is named on the HBF for the Legs, Taylor 'Coleman' Walker is in the forward pocket while Aaron Kite is on an extended bench and is unlikely to play. Luke Jericho is back in the league side after being sent to the reserves in an attempt to work on his intensity and effort, oh hang on...
For South Myke Cook will line-up in the midfield and can hopefully find a bit more of the ball this week. He had a good showing in his previous encounter against the Legs, and for that matter he also had a good one AT Encounter...
Sturt v Port - Unley
* Tom Lee is in the reserves and will look to set a career high with 8 disposals. All the best Tom, the stage is set.
Bye – West
