With most focus on the big boys playing finals this round 23 may get missed

The SANFL have made some brave moves, or non moves as it were

Sturt v North Friday night Football up against the Port v WC Final.

Interesting match as its for the double chance. North had a huge win and would be full of confidence while Sturt went down to Glenelg . The positive for Sturt is that Chambers got his 100th goal and the team focus can be on team football.

Winner...Sturt by 32 points

Saturdays match at the same time as Hawthorn V Adelaide is the Eagles v Glenelg game at the Woodville Oval . Eagles will be wearing a replica 1972 guernsey to honour the Peckers in the same way they wore the Torrens jumper earlier. Glenelg are playing good football but I think the chance at the top 3 will push the Eagles past the post

Eagles by 28 points

West v Port at Broadspectrum Oval is to be quite honest a yawn affair. Both sides have disappointed their fans this year and I expect Port to win by at least 8 goals

South v Norwood at Hickinbotham Oval. Another game with 2 sides outside the 5 and one in which Norwood should win comfortably. Another 8 goal + margin for me

The game from Woodville is the ABC game ( I believe)

Unfortunately the SANFL have no brains and have scheduled the games to clash with the AFL. As a result I’ll miss the Legs game, first time in years. So good luck to the SAFC who can expect a crowd of about 500 which will be embaressing.

For tomorrow night's game Greg Gallman has been recalled for North and will start on the bench. Ian Perrie is an out due to the Crows.

Its a fair call. The SANFL should have got tough with the clubs

Drummond...according to the SANFL website it was the clubs that had the option of times...but as noted I think the SANFL should have stepped in

The SANFL match program is formulated on the principle that home Clubs have the ability to request when they wish to play over a weekend.

I'm getting the shits with the programming too. Why wasn't the Sturt v North game rescheduled for Sunday afternoon? Will the first week of the SANFL finals be played on Saturday and thus the Friday night switch was done to avoid a potential 6-day break? If so I can understand their reasoning but still very frustrating for the fans. If the finals are Sunday afternoon then it is a poor decision. And scheduling the Centrals vs Sturt Saturday night game a few weeks ago up against the Crows vs Brisbane game was frustrating as well.

Don't really care if it was a fair call, 80% of his posts are bitching, moaning, whingeing, whining .. the other 20% is talking about Norwood players

Low blow. Drummond has been a quality poster of late.

Sturt decimated by injury, and little depth. North by lots.

Doesnt matter to Eagles (or the bays) if they win or lose, position wise.

North by 8 goals. I'm ****en fired up for that game, will be a beauty.

Beers on the hill ICDM.

I'll be happy to win by 8pts. North have a nasty habit of losing must-win Rnd 23 games lately, at least Adelaide Oval won't be under water this year.

Is Mattner playing? If so you'd better hope he's in the back pocket otherwise he'll carve you up.
