Kicked 2 goals in the last few minutes to help draw the Eagles back to level pegging. One goal he got a great bounce, but his second in a few minutes was freakishly good.

Grabbed the pill from a stoppage situation, danced through a few of our blokes attempted tackles, then snaps a great goal on his left. It was deadset class.

Stats were probably about 25 possesions, 3 goals. He's a GUN :thumbsu::thumbsu:

He is indeed a gun. Has so much potential and with a pre season next year he will be one of our surprise packets I think.

I have to watch the replay of this game.

hes a real stop start player, usually when you see him on screen he is almost at a standstill but when he needs to run, boy he is deceptively QUICK!!

he is in your future i don't know why you would think otherwise!

Don't know if this has been mentioned.

Interesting that Marty Mattner, according to the Sunday Mail is eligible to play for Sturt in the SANFL finals.

AFL player qualification for SANFL finals is generally a source for debate and Crow Martin Mattner's availability for Sturt may irk some rival supporters.

Mattner has played just one game this year for the Double Blues, but is credited with four.

He played one reserves game for another club when Sturt had the bye, missed another week altogether with Sturt's bye and he travelled with the Crows as an emergency once. Mattner was left out of the Crows' team to play Hawthorn yesterday, but again travelled with the side

Meh, Mattner will only be playing one finals game anyway :p :)

Jars did fire the lads up. At three quarter time the Jarman boys brought the players over to the hill where the loyal Rooster fanatics were standing and **** that was inspirational!

I feel ordinary today but it's worth it, I still can't believe we won that. Wundke starred yet again and Allan picked up another 3 Magarey votes.

As a one eyed sturt supporter it hurts me to say this but respect to all the North Support. That was pretty amazing. Trust Jars to use it in the best way possible.

Greg Gallman's role in Norths win has been overlooked a bit as well. Chambers was killing us in the first quarter and a half before Jarman finally made a move.

This is from Barries corner on nafc.com.au
I want to make mention of young Greg Gallman, who when shifted on to the gun full-forward of the competition mid-way through the second term, kept his opponent to only 1 goal {he had kicked 5 to that stage of the game}. For the life of me I don’t know why he didn’t start at full back in the first place, given the great job he did on this same opponent when we played Sturt at Prospect earlier in the year. Was very pleasing to see such a young rookie taking his much more credentialed and experienced opponent out of his comfort zone so often…..well done young man.

Just wondering what you roosters supporters think of Ben Hart since he has actually been playing. He was one of my favourite crows players when i was a youngster and always seemed to be such an honnest player and obviously he played a great game for you guys on friday but some of his antics behind play were discusting! One incident in particular on the boundary line right infront of where i was, Bratton from Sturt got caught with the ball and Hart tackled him, ump called in the back (should have been holding ball Bratton actually got caught a few times) and Hart grabbed Brattons head and absolutely MASHED it into the ground. He kept doing it for ages and gave away a 50 i think!! I couldn't believe my eyes. I found myself calling Hart a few coulourful words because i didn't really beleive that it was him. Afterwards i was embarrased to see that i had just abused a 300 game champ for the crows. Its like he thinks he is better than everyone else down there at rooster land.

Doiler and Barrie made great points, Gallman was awesome on Chambers.. he also played on him at Prospect and did very well. The bloke is a class act and will only get better.

ROOno.1, since he seems to be over that injury crisis Harty has been brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. He was superb again on Friday night and cleaned up the pathetic, choking double blues. Stop having a sook, it seems nobody else has said anything about that? I didn't even see it myself... to say his antics behind play were discusting [sic] is a bit rich, what a load of crap.
You are like a Sturt supporter on another forum who seems to want Budgie O'Hara up on murder charges after his report.

You lost from 50 points up with the double chance on the line, suck it up ROOno.1 you sooky ****.

Calm down. As you said you didn't see it. Never said he didn't play well though. He did.

ROOno.1 didn't actually say Ben Hart wasn't a good player, up until recently he held the AFC games record, not sure if you knew that?

I must admit it has been hard watching the boys struggle over the past few weeks, but Is It really choking when you are missing so many of your players?

The two times Ben Hart has played against Sturt this year I have seen him do stupid things. Last game at Unley he blatantly tried to trip deluca over in the square after he (Hart) had given away a free kick and deluce was running back to have his kick and then this latest incident..

I go to all of the Sturt games with a mate who is a Carlton supporter. It is hard when you have crows current players and ex crow champions running around in opposition colours and I find myself constantly defending them with against my mate. But it is hard to defend the stupid arrogant things that Hart has done..

All of this may seem like a no big deal but ROOno.1 simply voiced an opinion politely and you put the boot in. How about you worry about how you are going to get a kick against the eagles this week and let us worry about our teams performance!
