What a colossus this bloke has been.

Racking up contested possessions for us for 12 seasons now, ridiculously consistent, going head-to-head against the competition's best midfielders every single week and almost never lowering his colours.

Would our best ever trades in order be McLeod, Jarman, Thompson and Jacobs?

Started the season brilliantly, has looked a little weary lately but I wouldn't back against him getting 30+ this week.

Could've squibbed it during 2010-11-13-14 and turned in to a lazy 200 gamer. Instead, he led the way in the midfield and put his heart and soul in to his performance. Has lost a yard of pace obviously, but was absolutely key in the wins against GWS and West Coast. Will be an important cog in September.

Drugs Are Bad Mackay? Im pretty sure you were the one saying it, but Thommo on 5AA said the drop in rotations has helped him as its slowed other players down. Explains why his second halves have been and also shows how fit he must be even at his age.

Love him. The thing about Thommo is he has been the mainstay of our in and under mids for 10 years. McLeod, Goodwin and Edwards all had each other for pretty much their whole careers. But Thommo has so often been our lone warrior in the midfield. Bloody champion, a well deserved 300 game AFC life member. Deserves a flag!

He's been a champion, with flaws to go with it, but I'll remember that Phil Walsh Medal winning performance for a long, long time.

He lifted a grieving club on his back that day and provided a huge step forward through the dark times where we could've lost our way.

Warrior is the perfect description of the bloke. Might not have the greatest leg speed or doesn't do any of that flashy stuff but he knows when it's his turn to bury his head into the pack and fight for the ball. Has been a warrior for this club for a bloody long time and I can't wait to celebrate with him on Saturday night. No fuss, just get on with it kind of guy. Has been such a big part of the modern Crows. The guy has always put himself before the club....and has always played at a high level. I remember for too long that he was as close to our only A Grade player we had. Now that we finally have a squad.....come on Crows he deserves it much as anyone.
