Mostly due to a lack of political nous. Everything else about the bid was perfect, the support, the legacy - Qatar are good at being snakes and Australia did not want to play that game.

I still hold hope that Qatar will get stripped in the next couple of years after the sham that they are is revealed.

we didn't invest enough money in the bid
we were out played politically
we obvously didn't play dirty enough. turns out pearl necklasses are just a drop in the ocean compared to what 'other' nation are willing to do.

At least we can now keep the money in Australia as all these guys have been saying on here and I can go start supporting my local team GWS with Israel Falau. I don't give a sh*t about Sydney FC so thereby I don't give a sh*t about the A-league and quite frankly it no longer exists. The FFA have failed to provide myself with a football team whom I wanted, the west sydney rovers, the AFL has, Aussie Rules Football has given me a local team to support in an Australian competition. I love soccer, I really do but it has given me nothing, I have to pretend to support some dipsh*ts and travel to the SFS. I don't have a team to support and I can no longer deal with that. I look forward to GWS games. F*ck Qatar and F*ck FIFA and F*ck that maggot ben buckley who is a hopeless tosser who shouldn't run any sporting organisation in future.
