Yep! A fantastic pick-up for the club.

Um! Pardon me for going on a minor detour here. But it’s for the sake of the bride. She lurves her “Joely”

She prides herself on being bit of an expert in assessing a good male toosh. And derives quite some satisfaction from doing it.

What is pissing her off at the moment is not being able to assess Joely cos he wears such ill fitting baggy footy shorts. So my plea to the GFC Property Steward is to find Joel some shorts that fit and tell him to hitch ‘em up when he puts them on.

The Property Steward will also be doing me a favour as it will stop the bride whining and may even turn her on.;)

There is no "bride" is there?

I must say, as a female I notice these things too, and Corey Enright is another big offender ;)

Bring back the tight shorts, I say :D (although maybe not quite to the degree seen in the '80s).

Warwick Capper Board :D:eek:

This is so not where I saw this thread heading...

Correct weight. My fault for attempting a little levity.

To be serious, Joel has been a fantastic pick-up for us. Tough as, with great awareness and a good decision maker. And seems to want to be a one team player.

My recollection is he would normally have been a 1 or 2 draft pick but slipped down the order a bit due to some clubs thinking he had a suss shoulder.

It was a knee that some clubs thought was bone on bone actually.

Back on topic, congratulations to Joel, so courageous and a wonderful example for all our kids to follow as how a Geelong player should be. Can't wait til he's our captain next year.

Having a good winning run with the milestone games this year. Lets hope it continues!

Rnd 1 St K - Enright
Rnd 2 Freo - Chapman
Rnd 4 Syd - J Hunt
Rnd 5 Haw - Scarlett

I was actually thinking that myself the other day!! I wonder how many other milestones we are having this year?

And good luck to Selwood on the 100, cant beleive he has played that many games and is only 22..... how good is he when he hits his "prime"?!

When does Blakey play his 100th? Is it this year? (Yes I know he has played 99).
The poor bugger is listed every week in the Record as playing his 100th that round.

Still numerous milestones to come...some more likely to happen than others.

- 100 for Selwood
- 100 for Byrnes
- 100 for Blake (possibly)
- 100 for Stokes
- 100 Varcoe
- 150 Mackie
- 200 Bartel
- 200 Wojo
- 300 Milburn

A lot of those are only possible if they play every game, including a couple of finals appearances, so they're unlikely, but it's still the most milestones I can remember in one season

Whenever he plays his next game, but he may well finish on 99.

Next up for milestone are Byrnes 100th in his next game, and Stokes with 91 in about 7 weeks or so.

I really want to see Wojo make 200 and Dasher 300 this year but they'll have to play almost every game from here on in (and we'll need to go deep into finals) for them to get there. It's good that Jimmeh will almost definitely get 200 this year.

Would love to see Milly getting his 300+ games before heading off to the sunset so come on the finals and look after your self to get there

Definitely his knee that was sus. Some thought he may struggle to get to a 100.
Ha I say. HaHa. How is sweet it is , in a fantastic draft who has played the most games so far , Joel has , followed by Gibbs 3 behind. Good draft that one , nice to know we got the best of it. Ess would be spewy , 22 games for pick2 Scott Gubleton. What a shame for them.

On the other issue , as a straight male I couldn't care one jot on the looks of the shorts however if the Docs are correct and the little boys don't swim to well when impeded with tight garments , keep them lose I say. More Selwood for us.

Fantastic pick-up for us. Just looking at his history re injuries -should have earlier.;) He did have four knee ops before we secured him so one can't blame some clubs for being a little cautious at the draft selection table.

Had a good chuckle at the loose shorts comment. It’s the jocks underneath that hold the plums nice and firm. And I can assure you from personal experience they don’t adversely affect the reproductive process.:D

BUMP! :)

Here's hoping the boys give Joel a 100th game to remember for all the right reasons. :thumbsu:

Amazing to think the guy's only 22, yet has achieved so much in his career to date.

Luke Hodge on AFL Game Day said on Sunday it's probably been the best first 100 games played in history. Hard to argue with that.
