Not sure Wolfie at age 38 will be part of the Tigers plans in 2012. Good luck to him if he does get a gig but I'm not sure it would be a given.

has completed a full pre season and is looking super fit. will be a handy fill in if required. did win the 2's league b&f last year

Played for Mount Gravatt in 2006 & 2007 and Surfers 2008 & 2009. Played seniors at North Cairns.

Grange beat Sandgate by 8 goals. Will be a very hard side to beat this year. S Brittain will be best forward in comp if he stays fit. Shir didnt play I dont think, so they will only improve. The Hawks not disgraced, but have lost a lot of key players and will have to work hard for their wins this year. Very physical game for this time of year!

How can u say s brittain will be best forward in the comp when a bloke like fulton cones back into the league and brewster dominated the comp last year. He also kicked 16 in a shortened intra club on the weekend. These two will be the best forwards in the comp by a stretch. Will be an interesting goal kicking competition between them

Couldnt agree more born winner! A fella by the name of James Drake gets a bit of it from chf! And Brewster kicked 80 something last year and if rumors are true matty Hicks can find the big sticks a bit also. S Brittain will be a good pick up but he is hardly a world beater!

Sorry did forget Drake as long as he gets his body right he is right up there with fulton and brewster

Is hicksy playing Bornwinner and if so where will he play? Capable of playing as a high fwd but shit he was dangerous at FF. if Noosa can get him and Brewster to play together somehow and get enough ball up there, they will win the comp again IMO.

Dont believe he is. did ask someone on the weekend and they said he hadnt been at training so im guessing thats a negative. Dayne Frew looks like he may have a dominant year this year though and with him and eady at half forward i think brewster will get plenty down to him again this year

Probably the reason he hasnt been at training is that he doesnt even live in this state!! Wouldnt get to carried away about Noosa intra club, it was their full strength senior side against their reserves! Having said that they deserve to go into the season as favourites on the back of last 2 years. Will be hard to beat.

Fulton (even at 35 years of age,) being fit and barring injury, will kick 100 plus this season .Remember last season he was out injured for 3 weeks and on week 4 played for Palm Beach on match permit and kicked 12 goals. He most likely wont be at a fitness level of Neafl standard this year but his natural ability and experience should see him kicking plenty of goals, which is great for the club and the league.

Now you know and I know Switching that this is not a reason that has ever stopped Noosa from playing a guy in the past....:D

Best & Fairest; Matt Shir

Goalkicking; Korey Fulton ...90 to 100 goals( based on fitness, his desire and committment to the 2012 season, and if his body holds up to injury.)

Best and Fairest: Jake Ryan (that hurt, but can find it)
Smokey: Cubby (Dont know why he is a smokey has got runner up a couple of times?)

Goal Kicking: Brewster? Not sure he will get the glut of footy without Mathews Brauer should still kick 60+
Fulton Should be around the same will be fairly one dimensional.Body holding up could be an issue
Smokey: Housego

League medal: Shir. Smokey: Derrick
Goal kicking: Fulton 80 goals

Ladder prediction:

Noosa
Magpies
Surfers
Grange
Pbc
-----------
Sandgate
Spring wood
Mayne
Maroochy
Burleigh
Coolly

Out of interest, what clubs would support a local game on Good Friday? Most boring day of the year and i for one would definately support the concept. It would have to be a derby like say Surfers v Palmie, Noosa v Mdore or Grange v Sandgate. A former club i played at in Vic do it and make a motza with a huge crowd. Worth a thought i reckon!

Switchingplay,
yes is a great idea and has been extremely successful at leagues that have implemented this.(not many have done it though).I played in the Ovens & Murray league for many seasons down in the Albury/Wodonga region. One of the minor leagues down that way is The Hume League,.. for the first time 2 of the leagues teams played today(easter friday). They are 2 of the top clubs from the past 4 years, namely Howlong and 2011 premiers, Jindera.Now... Howlong have recruited Sydney Swans premiership player , namely Daniel Bradshaw whom will play alongside his 2 brothers(his younger brother kicked 100 plus last season.)
I dont know the results as of yet but the league and both clubs were predicting a crowd of 2500..... where in a normal home and away game the crowd would be lucky to be 500.Great revenue raiser.

Just look at the League match played today between the Rabbitohs and Bulldogs..... a crowd of 35000. .

Which is about 20000 more than they usually get...:D

Adding to my prior post, country footy is a way of life in small towns /rural communities down in country victoria where aussie rules is the highlight of the sporting events annually.
Obviously, this is not the same scenario up here in south east qld, but I still believe a Easter friday derby would still result in a crowd attendence much larger then normal, thus bringing in addittional revenue.

Premeiers; surfers paradise. Added what they needed last year, a forward that will kick bags
runner up: Western magpies
medal; cubby isles or brookes durdin
spoon; sandgate
goal kicking: Fulton 100 plus goals

Yeah Damo,

I agree. If Fults is committed,( as I have said in previous post recently) and he manages to play most games, he kicking a ton is not out of the question.
He still has the ability to play at NEAFL level, but age is against him now, and the the improvement in the standard of the league due to the recruiting of quality players from interstate combined with youth as the major area to assist in a NEAFL club improvement , leaves him out of a clubs plans for progression.
Still, its great to see him playing in this competition. He could of retired.I hope he goes well and adds to the quality of the comp.

Is exactly what the PHC needs is the quality payers from the league above to drop down when the game passes them by or it becomes just not worth the effort required anymore. Is win-win I reckon. More importantly it is great if these guys come back with knowledge and experience that they pass on and become leaders in the club. That is invaluable IMO.

Stuy - think it would work with derby matches like Switching said - Noosa v Maroochy would get a very good crowd, even more so if a few hubbies were released from dad duties early afternoon on their first day of the easter break having flown up from Melbourne for the holiday period!!:D
