I feel this is better because it looks gooder and it represents the league better.

It has everything you want in a logo too, beautiful colours and even goal posts!!

Suggestions? o_O

Suggestions on font? I'm pretty happy with the colours to be honest. I don't want sharp, jarring colours like the original and these two contrast nicely.

The four arcs were meant to represent the goalposts btw, so in a sense we're having two sets of goalposts if the ones in the background are included (although they are two sets on the ground.... maybe that's a good thing :)) They do need to be of equal width/gap though.

Feel free to work some alterations up for a true collaborative effort. :thumbsu:
Collaboration commencing.....
With goalposts and a computery (representing the sim) font

With a wider font across the whole oval

I sort of wanted to distance it from the AFL logo (which also has an oval and goalposts inside it), that's why I had the four arcs representing the goalposts.

Also when creating it I had in mind Mobbenfuhrer 's visions about keeping the SFA as far away from "real-life" football as possible, that's why that without any bias my favourite is still the updated one in the OP.

I am sort of warming to the idea of using red in the logo as a way to represent the 'old' SFA.... a tri-colour thing is pretty cool, too. Instead of using jarring bright red, I've gone with a dark red as it fits in with the other two colours nicely, sort of 'heritage' like. Also I changed the main font for all of you who disliked it.

I think in the end, the best way to find the most liked logo would be through a poll. :)

You lose the cuteness of the other two colours with this one, I reckon.

The two lines should represent the behind posts and then maybe add two goal posts that come out of the top of the oval shape.

Yeah I still prefer the one in the OP out of any posted so far. No bias, I focused on simplicity.

Other than goalposts, oval (ground) and footy, what are iconic graphics that can be used on a logo referencing footy?

Essentially only an abstract of play, like a hip & shoulder or mark. A fist-pump could mean any other sport or event.

Goal Umpire flags are pretty iconic to Footy. .. At least in their use (given linesman use them in other football codes). .
