Bennett moved interstate and Grollo to stk cityEast Brighton looked to have signed another talent. But have apparently lost 1 pointers in love Linay, backman, Rennex so here’s a guess of points now.
Points update
Tommy bracher - 5 VFL
Ben dessent - 3
Flannigan -3
Alex Keath - 6 AFL
Ben Reid - 4?
Tom Evans - 4 Coates league
Cooper - 3
Grima -3
Sean downie -2
33 across 9
13 spots remaining for 13 points
Not to mention.
Denoon 3
Roberts 3
Brenner 2
Corp 2
Forrest 2
Grollo 2
Harris 2
Have a few of these players left or will there be very good senior players in the reserves with lesser players playing due to points?
Love Linay and Backman both gone ? 2 of their better and fittest players with the couple games I watched, not to mention they would be very low playing points ? Both of them not easy players to replace either LoveLinay , good size mobile mid with great awareness in traffic with high accumulation and Backman plays above his height, strong overhead/ pressure forward, hits the scoreboard, good team player with a big work rate, don’t know enough on Rennex but 1 pt player againEast Brighton looked to have signed another talent. Seems strange to go on a signing spree and let very quality low point players go? Bottom 3/4 might be suss judging by player points if they are correct in the post above
Murrumbeena look to have added quite a few in the off season aswell, might be on the cusp of September ?
Any other club news around ? Signings? Practise matches ?

Evans played more than 5 Coates league last year if it’s the Echuca kid, which makes him a category 4. with Reid at 3 it means they have.Bennett moved interstate and Grollo to stk city
Evans and Reid are 3 point players
Reid may only play 6-8 games
Will play most weeks at max points you would think

Nice to not have a salary cap to worry about.
Not just the salary cap (they must be paying a bomb $$$) but the viability of recruiting as heavily as they have without an u19s or many home grown players on the list could end diabolically, only takes 1 or 2 to upset the Apple cart and have a mass exodus. I did read a past post from a poster who ensured they were having an u19s so hopefully those kids can bounce onto senior football… for their sake.Nice to not have a salary cap to worry about.

badly run no doubtThere’s about 10 players that were involved in 2024 not involved in 2025. 3 of which were the top 3 highest paid players. We wish them all well.
Work still going into the 19’s which looks positive at this stage. Hopefully it gets up and goes alright.
The senior side will have 3-4 former 19’s/junior players in its side each week.
Would be nice to be as elite as Dingley and Chelt are with their junior pathways, but we wouldn’t be the only team falling short when comparing with them.
Bentleigh has the best juniors. Why aren’t they dominating?

Dalyston along with Hutchison. Not sure of the link. Would think Cale should go alright in that compDo we know where Cale Love-Linay's gone?
(If he's left at all - big loss if true)
Hutchinson out the door also? Seems to be a few out the door with the swag of signings incomingDalyston along with Hutchison. Not sure of the link. Would think Cale should go alright in that comp

Thought he would be a necessity in a club looking to climb the southern everest with his resumè and deep experience of what makes a strong club culture in order to succeed being from a club that is very hard to prize out top enders in YCW although in his latter years now. These types of players always come to fore in finals series
