Injuries will shape top 5.8 teams will compete for top 5. Dingley,Cheltenham,Narre and Springvale have player depth whilst East Brighton,St Paul’s,Cranbourne and Colts don’t. Dingley won’t get their gun forward back Lewis from Casey!

Had a fair few out but as someone else posted, Doveton will drop off this year having lost some good players.

We are always around the mark, this year looks to be competitive so you could throw a blanket over:

Dingley
Chelt
Springy
Narre

And I'll put my own mob with that list.
With their INS why don’t you have the All Stars in their Cousin Tiger?

Be interesting to see how the All Stars go. They seem to have lost quite a few from the top end and replaced them instead of trying to maintain the list that they had and add on top of that. You are not gaining if you are purely replacing , but that’s only in theory .. let the season get under way and review with some proof in the pudding to elaborate and discuss on.

Any results of note from the weekend outside of Cranbourne and Mitcham and doggies and Doves

Dingley Rosebud ?
All Stars Chelsea?
Edi Murrumbeena ?

Bentleigh?
Narre?

Any Word out of the Colts ?

I believe Beena got well done

Beena got done first praccy match, younger team in with a few out. Likely wouldve lost by 50 points if they had a better then in.

Be interesting to see with how they go due to list changes ins/outs

Beena looking to compete and gain valuable experience from first season in div 1. If they can hold, they will be looking to build and challenge from 2026 onwards.

Agree, well coached and good club culture so wouldn't be surprised if they claim a few decent scalps this year.

Even if they did go back down, you would imagine they'd probably come right back up.

Is 5-7 wins possible this year?
The top end has got exceptionally better and Narre Warren coming into the comp will more than test these sides. I don’t think Bentleigh or Murrumbeena are going to see anything more than 5 wins. To be honest I think Bentleigh are in real strife this year.

Going to be a real strong comp but great learning curve for the Beena

Beena done by 14 goals, also hearing there wasn't much in the Springy v Beaumaris game and the big Springy recruits played the 2nd half.
Based on this (Springy probably ranked 3rd-4th this season) and Beauy down to C grade VAFA, they may have seen the improvement in the SFNL and consider option to move across. Has been touted on here a few times and would be a good fit for both clubs.
