‘Spectator getting off lightly’ ? ‘Felt something go In his eye picking up a football’ ? ‘Outdated Rule’ ? ‘Has a reputation of being targeted ‘ ? Embarrassing comments from a club president. Having watched him across a number of clubs and different leagues over his time and knowing some of the coaching staff and committee people involved in those particular clubs , He has been warned time and time again about his on field behaviour , most notably at Noble Park last year where it was strictly put to him to stop looking for trouble and that he was embarrassing the football club with his on field antics, a Prime Player when he plays the ball but refuses to park his ego.

Goal umpire could have reported the abuse to the field umpire/s who can then inform the home club to deal with the situation.
IF it continues and the umpire/s are fearful of a nasty situation occurring, they can “abandon” the game! This obviously worst case scenario.

he's not the first player to be targeted by 19s on the boundary and won't be the last. sounds like he's getting what he deserves.
Not sure asking a bloke if he skipped leg day is worth slapping someone over .
Also would want to make sure he slapped the actual person who made the comment.
Plus if it was spit , great effort from nearly 20 meters away.
And all this ALLEGEDLY happened in the first 10 mins of the game .
Watched Dingley and Districts! The standard has improved incredibly! Not many average players!High paid players rotated! Good on these clubs abusing the salary caps!The salary caps are a joke!Dingley have got gun midfield but they count their stats! Overuse the ball!They need Lewis and another tall forward to be certain!Bragg-Taylor in the ruck was the turning point in Districts comeback! He is a star!Districts 10 goals down midway through the third to kick the next 7 until the alphabet gave a fifty and sent off!Districts could still play finals! The Vampires are lurking with their huge spend! If you nullify Dingley midfield they are vulnerable!Chelt need a few back! Without their VFL players it will be tough!

There is going to be some unhappy clubs come the end of the season….for the outlay they spend for no reward. At least 3 clubs spending above their means! Springy starting 0-3 coming from a long way back already. Not sure if they make it.

Salary Caps are just a means since Covid to keep clubs afloat, not many would adhere to it. Take the Eastern for example , do we really believe these clubs are within the spending of the cap? If you believe yes, then unfortunately you are sorely mistaken. For what it is worth I watched Blackburn v Balwyn Friday, fantastic spectacle of local footy and absolute bumper crowd as one would expect, and Balwyns spending would comfortably exceed $200k and they still fell short. Havn’t had the chance to get to the top end of the southern yet, maybe a dingley v all stars match up or Chelt v All stars. From heresay the word is the standard is fairly impressive but the division 2s and 3s standard in this early part has evened up compared to previous 12-24months.
Springvale Districts - interesting 0-3, anyone who has watched them got any thoughts ? They were supremely confident they had the list to catapult to the top end and I marked them accordingly but it hasn’t transitioned to on field ? They still have St.Pauls, Narre, All Stars on the horizon too, may run out of petrol tickets as most game for them from here on will be like a final to play catch up

Seen it happen in other leagues as well and clubs need to pull these groups into line also. Tough behind the fence type behaviour who would poo their pants if anyone confronts them. Not great by the player but if this other club thinks it’s great behaviour from a group of immature people they should also be held accountable.
In my opinion some supporters could do with a lesson from a player just to teach them a lesson.
Beveridge won the league b&f last year albeit ineligible due to suspension. He has to be in this side.
To be fair you've already mentioned the issue here, immaturity.
When I was under 19's pretty certain we were all the same, behind the goals dishing out some banter and then you'd get 1 or 2 that would just cross the line everytime and have to be reminded to pull their head in

Times have changed and clubs now need to be accountable for their spectators.
When you were in U/19s it was basically putting off the full back that was kicking out, by making that "Whoaaaaaaaaaaaoooooff!" sound in unison. Now its see which bunch of young blokes can get the most personal & use the worst language towards a targeted player.

That kid from Cheltenham who spat at Mullen is lucky he wasn't eating soup though the side of his mouth for a month. There's certain players you don't mess with.

This is where the SNFL need to have some sort of policing of these activates. It's not the 1970s anymore. The VAFA have it. You can be fined or lose demerit points for your crowds' behaviour especially as I said, if it is u19s who actually play for the club.
