Pub talk suggests that EDFL money is talking, most likely luring away the captain of the team in red and white.
Pub talk would suggest you are on the money$$$ and the ex ex coach of the All Stars has done a raid on multiple clubs in division 1. I know of a few players that were at the All Stars interviewed at a rival club and when contracts were discussed , the figures in the Essendon League were far more than what was on the table from the SFNL clubs. Even as far to say one of the players produced text messages with the sums offered which with games filmed and data accessible, the prospective club were blown away with. All does not seem well at the All Stars from heresay though and seems the All Stars Posters have gone to ground

Huge get for NW if he’s full time. Their first half was shakey but they were a great addition to SFNL and no doubt are finals bound in 2026.

Anyone know who Cheltenham are appointing as their new coach?

St Pauls have signed up Tyson Milne who was runner up best and fairest for Frankston. Fantastic get by the club. He will provide leadership and plenty of bounce-off half-back, Tyson also knows how to take a moment.

St Pauls will qualify him and get him to play finals. St Pauls will assume they make finals with just the minimal engagement from Tyson in the season.

Curious on how people think Hampton Park will go in 2026..... ?

How big of a step up standard wise is it for a division 2 premier moving into division 1 ???

HP have re-signed the majority of this year's team.... i dare say they will have a few new recruits in the pipeline, but nothing confirmed as of yet....

PS - I've never seen a division one game in Southern.

hi mate spoke to a mate at HP who believes they need to recruit pretty heavily to stay away from the bottom
decent jump but they are confident they hv the resources to do it

Saw the GF and i cant see them staying up. Their style was straight line footy. The likes of chelt dingley and springy will just launch from turnover. Their best bet at the moment is to hope they can beat colts and finish just above them.

Early doors but cannot see them competing.

i'm not sure what the gap is like from div 2 to div 1 but Chelsea Heights came from Div 1 previous year and looked a lot slicker than most teams so im guessing HP need to pick up

that's pretty much what Chelsea Heights did to them in the 2 home and away games during the year but turned it around Grand Final day.

Oh well, i will wait and see what happens... hopefully a few handy recruits and they can step up and have a decent crack is all I'm hoping for.

What I noticed between Div 2 & Div 1 this season is there are very few gun key backs in Div 2. All division 2 teams have their good rucks, mids & forwards but no one has a key back to stop the key forwards. That showed in the Div 2 GF

That's what HP will need to compete in Division 1

Chelt have Sam Hayes, Dingley have Windhager & Feehan (when fit)

He will play one game for Frankston less than he needs to so he can still qualify for St Pauls, you watch.
Frankston finished top four in the VFL — there’s absolutely no chance he’s not playing at the Dolphins to qualify for St Paul’s finals!
Make no mistake, Dingley will smack St Paul’s.

The Doggies have just brought in Liam Wilson as their reserves coach — he’ll be the next senior coach and will lead them to a flag!

Don't even acknowledge the parody

I'n hearing good wraps on him. Liam is a two time Division 1 League B&F winner (Ellis medal) as well as a two time premiership player at St Paul’s. Liam Wilson played with some of the Southern league’s best before jumping into the coaching box. They have a very good backroom set The Doggies are a pretty well-oiled machine. Theo only problem for them is Matthew Kreymborg is starting to get older and more injury prone. He has been the heart and soul of that team for ten years.
