That’s absolutely correct but murrumbeena lost 7 or 8 of its first games in reserves and came home flying winning 7of the last 10 including beating Dingley.
The seniors also came out slow out of the blocks which is standard coming up a division.
The reserves will be way stronger with 19s coming up, and They’ve had their year of consolidation. the whole club will be stronger having a year in division 1.
Beena are notoriously well run and have huge participation so they are not a club I’d be worrying about, I’d be looking at brighton to likely not win a game, bentleigh will come back to the fold, port colts could go either way, and Hampton park will need a fair bit to compete at the speed of D1

Yeah the magoos had a good patch in the middle and ran out of legs towards the end. Could've played a final if they didn't drop the early games

avondale heights along with shirley
Rogers is a handy goal sneak for D2 but is nothing special averaging under a goal a game and being suspended for a grand final and also for most of last season it probably shows he should go back to a D2 level but Shirley gone from Beena is a big loss, been around the club forever and besides having a weird kick he gets the job done every week and can play mid, ruck or back. They’d want to pick up a big backman to replace him in defence or the O’Tooles, Howes, Weiterings, Richardsons are gonna kick bags and put beena to the sword!

Bentleigh picking up Cavarra and another VFL player. Another few form the VAFA will be on the way. Amendola is the key target who has been crossing between the leagues in recent times.

Seem to be going all in on 2026, and look to have timed it well. May be a good year to climb the ladder, with East Brighton and Port (less so) looking to be in all sorts of trouble. I can see Hampton Park staying up if they can win 2 games. early predictions is a very even top 5 in 2026. Narre will challenge and Cheltenham and Dingley have had key departures (yet to see any signings). St Pauls will be strong as long as Kreymborg is still running around. I expect Murrumbeena would take another year around the 6th-8th zone to consolidate their D1 status.

Havent st pauls lost lots?
Heard not much about the 2 grand finalists.
Narre will be top 3
Springy will be about the same
Colts and brighton battling.
Beena to add an extra couple of wins
Bentleigh to also push top 3. Would think they need another key tall forward to push the top 2
Hp great chance to stay up with the ongoings on colts and EB

St Pauls were interviewing a player from Old Brighton a couple of days ago

what a fantastic story bentleigh are
They are a fantastic story. They have built up from a few very talented under 19 teams that have won premierships, and they have kept most of those players because of the fun social programs behind the scenes at the club. They are the epidemy of what all other clubs wish to be. There are premierships on the field and growth in the community. So both are important.

Don’t think we can paste articles here but

- No coach - Edgar pulled out on Friday because he won’t have a competitive squad

- Under 19s and young reserves coming through

- New president who wants to align with the junior club
The article is behind a pay wall but as we have said, the comings and goings down at the ALL Stars make a Shakespearean play look like a romp in the park.

Sheesh, Et Tu Brutus.

You wouldn't be surprised to see anyone knifed down at the All Stars.
