The South East Precinct Netball League allows clubs affiliated with footy clubs to play their Netball and Football home games together. It makes much more sense for Narre Warren to do this. Clubs that i know of are, Beaconsfield, Berwick, Hampton Park, Berwick Springs (not affiliated with the football/netball club), Cardinia, Hallam and looking to have Pakenham and ROC in the coming years.

Isn't this what Murrumbeena are trying to do? Actively trying to fund some courts to be built at Kangaroo rd to create a more inclusive and community club.

Problem is there are clubs that refuse to travel to other clubs home courts. Or make it super difficult because they have 8 netball teams and half are playing at dingley and they have coaches and umpires who need to do both and the league puts it back on the clubs to organise themselves and there’s no consistency

Spot on, however each season there is more support so clubs need to be stay the journey to get the end result.
All clubs would love to have home courts but that cannot happen due to space and or funding .
To be the best comp in 3-5 years some hard yards need to be done by all not just a select few.
Won’t happen as the league lets the club decide and it’s too hard.
More and more top end players will leave as there is not enough depth in the A Comp.
So just when it was improving it will drop again , a bit like the football !!

Bentleigh have new courts ready to go for next season and Murrumbeena trying. If they have the space it makes sense. St Pauls want a club redevelopment (with netball court inclusion) seem to always be low on the council and state govt pecking order.

Hence why netball comps in metro leagues is a wank.

It works in the bush because everybody has courts, and the whole club plays each other - footy and netball. Metro footy has always had divisions which also doesn’t work as your netball teams and footy teams don’t line up with your rivals as you go up and down divisions.

The whole thing was a very cynical grab by the metro leagues to artificially boost their participation numbers. They’re just netball comps tacked onto footy comps. There’s no shortage at all of actual netball comps in Melbourne.

This is exactly it

Some clubs might have some luck.

Others are located close to one of the huge metro netball centres with 10-15 courts. A council with a thousand options to spend money aren’t going to build you some netball courts.
Why should they give up parkland for netball courts when there is already plenty up the road

EB couple of announcements today. Anyone know much about the coach?
Vin Turchinovich played at Williamston coached at Yarraville (2 grand Finals, 1 Premiership), Braybrook (Premiership), with a couple of other stints at including Tarniet where there were no players as well as assistant at a couple of other clubs and coach of a number of successful junior teams. Most recently coached West Footscray's under 18's to the div 2 premiership undefeated

Was an assistant at Port Melbourne when Gary Ayres was coaching there

Unfortunately the Liberal party didn’t win the last federal election if they did things like Pavilion, ground and new Cricket training/Netball courts would be built over time.
But in saying that we have a State Election next year in Victoria and I don’t see things changing for Local Sports clubs.
So sports clubs will need raise there own $$$$ but make sure you get 50% more then you budget for after all this is Victoria and nothing goes to budget does it.

One new court and an extension of the crickets nets, it was at least 5 years in the making.

I won't even start on the net required behind the goals at the carpark end. Council want nothing to do with it, want the club to fork out for a net on council land?

Same as all clubs except Glen Eira who didn't pay as there is a playground behind the goals
