They (Chelt) did lose to Rye MPNFL D2 a few weeks back as well and looked very average
I think you’ll find Chelt have been playing younger players in practice matches ,Fox will be available full time this season and Johnson and Rendell no 2 when not playing VF plus other recruits, they’ll be ready to go again

Big 3rd qtr coming up for the Rosella's. Quite a few of them looked gassed at half time.
Hoping for a classic season opener.

So did the retired Marc Holt kick 2 for cranny today? 😅
Is there a comeback on the cards for the legend.
City vs port was a great game.
Bentleigh vs St paul’s…. pissed down every second of the match. 20 points flatters the doggies, bentleigh came storming home in the second half and could’ve have easily taken the choccies if they converted their second half chances

How good to have local footy back!

St Pauls had 20 scores at goals to 15 and Bentleigh kicked 1.1 in the last qtr so how is this storming home and should have taken the choccies

Very Quiet on here. Interested who do you think will play finals this year. I will have a crack. Seeing it’s only 2 rounds in , I’m sure there will be a surprise pkt. Cranbourne , coach gone , Coach back , my opinion the yard stick. Very well run club who have great depth , which come in very handy when injuries start to kick in , Big chance back to back.Cheltenham very similar to Cranbourne as in well organised. Would be hurting from last year, can they go one better , certainly have extra incentive, massive chance. Dingley new coach , knows what it takes to win the big one, always hard to beat and on there day are just as good as any team. St Kikda city , new coach but been there before. Lost first 2 games by less than a goal , will this comeback to hurt them come finals time .Certainly have the cattle but do they have depth, will be one of a few trying to squeeze in the 5. Springvale Districts , looked to have gone and recruited the players to fill where they think needed improving, Has gun full forward Wetering who will go very close kicking a 100 injury free. My big improver , smart recruiting and personally think there a huge chance.Port Colts , another new coach at the helm and all reports will be very good as coach and player , also recruited well and off to a perfect start , have the side but can they go all the way , time will tell , but go close in my opinion.St Paul’s always in the hunt and will be thereabouts when the whips are cracking , have some quality players that make them one of them teams fighting for a finals spot. Bentleigh another team with a new coach. Really like what there doing in investing with there juniors , if they can keep this group together then can see them being up there in 2-3 years being a force. But certainly not to be taken lightly with youth and enthusiasm will trouble a few sides.Mordialloc might be in a rebuilding stage , but got a beauty in Mitch Brown and I think his brother , so maybe trying to build a side around them, Great get for the league , just can’t see them being there come finals time. Chelsea Heights , In my opinion coming up from div 2 to div 1 is the hardest challenge for any team and it’s there year . Have got a good playing coach in place and where right in it until the last qtr against Cranbourne rd 1 . Last week after qtr time were beating heavily on the scoreboard . Think they will have there moments and hope they win a few games . But staying up at the end of the year is what they would be aiming for. So apologies to Bentleigh , Mordy and Chelsea Heights who I can’t see them being apart of finals. Leaves 7 which don’t go into 5 . Most likely going to be made to regret this but unfortunately 2 have to miss out , and St Paul’s and St Kilda City are the 2 I think will miss . That’s why I think this year is so even when I have to leave 2 quality sides out of the finals . So no particular order I have Cranbourne, Cheltenham, Dingley, Port Colts and Springvale Districts making up the 5. Bit of fun , look forward to other people’s choices.

Great predictions. I’m quite similar.
1. Cheltenham
2. Cranny though these are pretty interchangeable
3. Port Colts
4. Dingley
5. St pauls
6. Springy think St paul’s will just nudge them over the course of the year
7. St kilda. Unfortunately don’t rate them. Think they need to fix their club issues before they have another crack. However if Swan starts playing could be different.
8. Bentleigh
9. Mordi
10. Chelsea They’ll win some games but always hard coming up from Div 2. Good luck to them

A couple of good games today.
Cheltenham V St Paul's
Dingley V Port

Top 5 (in no order) Springvale, Cranbourne, Port, St Paul's and Cheltenham.

1. Heath Barnes (St Paul’s/Ding)11. Michael Goodchild (Chelt)21. Ezra Poyas (StKC)
2. John Bennett (EB/Heath)12. Con Gorozidis (EB/Bent/Murr)22. Myles Quinn (StKC)

10. Matty Gallagher (Clay)20. Chris Phelan (StKC)30. Liam Wilson (StP/Murr)
Looking at this list a question or two.
Is it the best ever to play in the SNFL.
Is it the best who gave years of service to the SNFL.
How many years were Balwyn (overrepresented) and Noble Park in it.
Dingley way underrepresented. 4 Flags, I think.

Who is the most successful club over the 30 years.
My guess 1. St Paul's 2. East Brighton and 3. Dingley ?????
