Fantastic Wookie, much appreciated :thumbsu:

Gee those last couple goals were almost Buddy Franklin like :p Don't want to be too silly obviously but has this lads goal kicking improved or what? I found that almost mark and then play-on goal to be most impressive.

Ill tell you what has improved - his accuracy.

- 11.1 so far this year.
- 3.5 last year
- 6.8 in 2010
- 3.4 in 2009
- 1 goal in 2008 and 2007

Career: 14.17 until the start of season 2012 (44 games), 11.1 since (6 games)
Thats some mighty fine improvement there. Anyone else need eye surgery?

Also hasnt gone goal less so far this season.

Wow, didn't realise he was even that accurate this year. His improvement is much like 1AW's last year.

I wonder what would happen if we stuck a needle in Robbo, extracted some of whatever is pumping through his veins and injected it in to Hammer... :p

8th in hitouts in the league and kicked significantly more goals than any other ruckman. Next best is Mcintosh with 7 (Hampson currently has 11).

A bit of a stretch but if he finishes 8th in the league for hitouts and manages to kick 40 goals for the season (currently on track to do so), there might just be a spot for a resting ruckman/forward on the bench of the AA team.

According to the AFL's official statistics supplier, Champion Data, there are only six ruckmen in the competition who are winning 50 per cent or more of the ruck duels they contest. Bellchambers and Ryder are two of them. Aaron Sandilands, Nic Naitanui, Shaun Hampson and Shane Mumford are the others.

Our mids just didn't do justice to Hampson's and Kreuzer's tap work the other night.

Correct. Hammer was tapping it straight down on numerous occasions, only to have a Saints player standing at his feet take the ball and bolt.

Having watched the game 3 times now I have found it alarming that while Saints players were continually at the feet of our ruckmen our players were continually standing off.

Carrots was very good at being at the ruckmen's feet, getting first touch and delivering it outside to one of our players.

Anybody who thinks losing Carrots hasn't made much difference to, not only our clearance rate but our clearance effectiveness is dreaming.

Since Carrots went down both Judd and Murphy's clearance rates have gone down and Bar Mclean's 8 against the Bombers noone has stepped into the breach.

Begs a few questions dun it?

Hammer at times on Monday became a little predictable with his dinky little hitout over the back. Worked on a few occasions but by the second half the Saints seemed to be ready for it. Just needs to mix it up a little bit. We had well over double the hitouts than St Kilda, so we need to be capitalising on that dominance.

Fair enough but surely our guys should be there first? I assume our ruckmen let our mids know where the tap is intended to go.

TBH our whole stoppage piece is very ordinary at the moment. Monday night showed up numerous tackles that were broken allowing Saints players to get away and numerous kicks and handballs by our guys away from a stoppage to noone in particular.

I'd rather the boys ride the inevitable tackle, try and break free or force another stoppage than continually throwing it on the boot to who the hell knows where.

Judd has become a main offender of this by the way.

Don't neccessarily have an issue with bombing away from a stoppage into the F50 as it puts the defenders on the back foot but I saw it alot out on the wings and through the middle of the ground and the damn ball just got marked or gathered by an opposition player and came straight back over our guys heads, putting our defenders on the back foot.

I remember thinking to myself watching this guy that he could be anything.

Massive unit and one of the fastest at your club, and seemed like he could play literally ANYWHERE on the field.

What happened to him?

Will the Blues delist him, or is he working his way in?

Apparently he has a hot sister too

He is dating Megan Gale which is a good achievement.
