shot after the siren

LLoyd is easily the best set shot in the competition. His accuracy is in the top 3 of all time ( of players with 400 or more goals). His effort last year of 62 golas 16 behinds was the best accuracy rate ever of anyone with more than 60 goals in a season. His career accuracy of 69% leaves Fevolas 60 % well behind. Comparing the two is a bit of an insult.

This is one way of looking at it, and a very good statistical way of doing it.

But there are players who can go back and slot a goal in a common situation, and then there are players who get the ball in there hands in time of need and desperation, that you just back with confidence to slot it throught every single time.

they may not be the most accurate kicks in your side, but you just know in times of need they will deliver.

WHAT!!!!
Lloyd has clearly the best conversion rate of any key forward playing the game at the moment.
For their career Lloyd is converting at 69%, Fev is only at 60%. Most of the others in the poll are low 60's or high 50's.

For Catman's info in 2008 Fev improved to a respectable 66% but Lloyd was an amazing 79%. Doesn't seem to have gone off the boil too much.

I would probably take Fev outside about 55 but anything closer than that would be Lloyd.

Brendan Fevola easily. He's currently the best kick in the competition. Can kick it from pretty much anywhere he is. .

All of them are great players....But 100% Fevola, Regardless of distance or angle hes the only man in the leage that is never any lower than a 50% chance on goal. Best kick for goal in the league, Completley unmatched.

Also Fevola is the sort of player you would say is built for a situation like that. He just has the confidence and arrogance to go back and drill it from 50 after the siren.

Fevalinko for sure, drills it from anywhere.

Franklin and Steve Johnson. Both play best when the pressure is on.

I would agree with this and that was what the OP was about.

Glad someone mentioned Porplyzia.

For sheer routine and consistency Lloyd.

If it was a straight set shot from a Cats point of view I'd want it in Chapman or Ling's hands.

Aker is another one that comes to mind, you just know he wants it in his hands, he's a freak on either foot.

You should have chosen players who are really accurate kicks than players who are just good fowards.

Porplyzia... amazingly straight kicking. from my team, however, probably paul chapman. both of them arent even in the poll. how could people still be picking fevola after his shot against hawthorn?

A drunk Andrew Swallow :)

Lloyd is good at set shots because all the free's he gets 15m out from goal. I would go Fev just because he can kick the distance.

Definitely Brad Johnson

But seriously, I would go for Lloyd.

From other teams, maybe Gilbee, Ling.
