I think Perrie should get given one more chance...None of our forwards did paticuarly well in the St. Kilda game partly becuase our deliveries to them were pretty shocking...I think he should play against West Coast

Voted: No

Not too worried about this right now. I think he might have been dropped this week for Marsh b/c of two reasons: 1. There's a 50% or so chance Clarke won't be able to play b/c of hammy soreness or whatever (which they haven't mentioned on the media, strangely) 2. To counter Gardiner in the backline, as speculated in other threads. The fact that Perrie didn't perform that well last week might have been a minor factor for this decision, which to me does seem fair enought. I think he'll be back in the side next week anyhow.

I doubt it since he has been quite for 2 games and his SANFL club North has a bye this week. I don't know how he would get some form under his belt to break back into the side.

I'll be the odd one out.

While Marsh is not my favourite player (surprise surprise :)), he has been playing good footy for Westies, while on the other hand Perrie has hardly had a sniff in the last 2 weeks.

If they don't reward Marsh, and hang onto a fringe player in Perrie that's not performing it would be a massive disincentive to our players busting their guts in the SANFL for a crack at AFL level.

While Marsh will probably let us down, I think it was the correct decision.

And Stiffy, you're continually misspelling 'quiet'. ;)

And I thought I was the only one that noticed....get your act together Stiffy ;)

I voted yes, I have no qualms with Perrie being dropped if it helps the team's structure and with matchups, and this seems to be the reason for this change.

I think it was a good move by the club.

Since the start of the year we have been saying that there is pressure coming from within the SANFL ranks and any player who doesn't perform in the AFL will find himself replaced. Perrie hasn't performed for 2 weeks now and if he wants to keep his spot in the side he has to earn it. Sure, we all wanted the three-prong attack of Carey, Stevens, perrie to work but we have got to make sure players can't coast through the season and by dropping Perrie we are showing all the players, not just Perrie, that they need to perform week in week out.

This has sent a message to players that they need to go 100% all game. For instance last week, players like Crowell, Schell, Perrie should have been busting their gut in the second half to try and hold on to their spot, not get comfortable when the game was won. Little James Gallagher tried extremely hard in the second half and held onto his spot. He is a good example of what fringe players should be doing each week.
