I know he has been good around the ground all year and he was good again tonight, but seriously, the guy can't kick to save his life. Do you guys think we should drop him and bring Murphy back in for a shot? At least Murph can kick in a straight line. I don't know what's wrong with Taz, it seems he really struggles for confidence and I have no idea why. He never look's confident kicking the ball, even from straight in front. How do we rectify this? He is hurting us bad and that's even more apparent when Pav has an off night.

You are an idiot. He works so hard up the ground and only had the 2 shots at goal. Look at his goal assists..........I think Murphy should come in tho especially seen as they dropped Campbell, so i say play Murphy instead.

Holy shit. Now I've heard it all.

A career high 27 possessions, 12 marks, set up numerous goals, is averaging 2 goals per game despite not getting one tonight.

That is so freaking ridiculous it's almost funny...

*shakes head and laughs*

Your the idiot mate. I asked a question, I didn't call for him to be dropped. No doubt he can't kick to save his life and it hurts us every game. I like him but this is a serious problem. He is a key forward and needs to kick goals. He works hard and set's a few up but he needs to slot at least a few per game and he is just not doing that.

So how is dropping him going to help?

I would have to say that I am very impressed with the work rate of Taz this year. The Freo games I have watched he has never dropped his head or spat the dummy, and he works his ass off. He is a confidence player and dropping him is not going to solve anything.

I wish that he had signed up with West Coast (he would fit right in with his accuracy!:p ) but we weren't prepared to pay the asking price unfortunately.

I rarely say this, but Hazy mate... you're an idiot.

Why because I asked a question?

Did I say he should be dropped? No.

Do I think his kicking needs work? Yes.

How are we going to resolve it?

From what taz says you guys had just won a grand final and didn't bother to show much intrest.

Alright people lets be civil now, although I think it goes alitte too far to say Taz should be dropped it does raise the question is he doing his job.

Playing as a centre half forward Taz should be leading up the ground and linking up the play & kicking goals and whilst tonight he provided a good lead he didn't provided any options inside 50.

So maybe just maybe if he continues to have problems infront of goal we should think about where we position him & bring in a Murphy per say, rather than drop him.

They were definately interested, just not for a top 10 pick (we would have had to trade to get one as our first pick was 16) and another player (Rosa was who they wanted).

If you're going to drop Taz, you may as well retire him.

That's Taz, his kicking sucks, it ain't getting any better. You just have to take the bad with the good, and there's plenty of good, too.

Thanks.

I have had a couple (too many) of beers and I am a bit emotional after that loss.

Don't be so quick to turn on your own guys.

Apart from his shots on goal, he was excellent tonight.

I thought his field kicking was pretty average, had a few shockers off the boot. Did chip in with a few handy goal assists though. All in all, not a bad game, could have been far more damaging with his 27 possies though.

Who says a CHF has to kick goals?

Ive never seen Tazz work so hard before when hes been at Freo.

I think its benefited two clubs, giving you a genuine CHF (Pav as a utililty) and it freed up the ground around Trav Cloke.

If both can pick up their accuracy, well worth a shot of AA CHF.

Don't be so quick to turn on your own guys.

Maybe you should heed your own advice when it comes to our players.

Calling for Taz to be dropped is absolutely ridiculous and it's no surprise the reaction you've gotten. And if you say you haven't suggested he be dropped then why start a thread titled 'Should Taz be dropped.'?

The guy has been our most consistent forward all season. He worked his arse off tonight presenting again and again outside 50 to give us a link coming up the ground. Without him we wouldn't have had a target on the half forward line and we would lose the luxury of keeping Pav close to goal. You think Pav would've had 11 shots on goal without Taz pushing up to be the target outside 50?

The guy misses 2 shots bringing his season total to 20.17 and you start talking about dropping him because he can't kick. Better send Pav back to Easts to sort out his kicking too then.

We knew what we were getting with Taz's kicking when we signed him and I'm sure most sensible supporters would be delighted with his workrate, commitment and general output this year.
