Should the AFC recruit Brant Chambers?

Over the years the Crows have drafted plenty of KPP forwards, none of whom (unfortunately) have gone onto great things.

The names Angwin & Watts both spring to mind. In 2006 there were Sellar & Tippett (Tippett looks good, Sellar has looked a whole lot better since going back to the reserves and actually getting some time on the ground). In 2007 there was Walker.

Unfortunately for Brant, I think time has passed him by. We should really look at a guy by the name of Kevin Bartlett seems to have good goal sense.

Franklin might have only gone at #5, but with three teams earning priority draft picks that year, they were the only ones to ever have a chance of drafting him.

Hawthorn wanted Franklin, but gambled on being able to get both Roughead and Franklin. The gamble paid off.

Just did a little research, my god we chose the wrong year to come 12th, with 3 teams getting priority picks that year, our #5 draft pick turned into #8 (Meesen), guess who was picked at #5 that year... Franklin

We could do worse thats for sure. He'd more than hold his own at FF. Troy Wilson anyone. Not everyone is Adam Richardson or Perrie. He's a damn sight better than Perrie as a marking forward that is for sure. Could do worse.

yes, I find no name players with 0 AFL games behind them are usually much better than 150 game AFL players.

Brant Chambers (-). 0 AFL Games/0 goals and 0.00 marks per game.

If Chambers was/is a "damn sight better" marking forward than Perrie he's been terribly ill-advised over the course of his career.

Alleway is an interesting one. From memory he was an AA U18 player and was on a couple of clubs rookie lists. Has played state footy for both VFL and SANFL. Might seem too much of a plodder at AFL level though. Similar to Richardson, hes not the quickest bloke, but hes a big bloody unit with a strong grab and a big kick.

"Alleway is a champ" would have been enough Macca he is an immovable object, the ball can hit the deck and he will hold half the team off to bring a fellow Rooster into play. What a unit.
