I like that. GWS and the Cats are bombing the last 3 rounds. But the Cats have to lose 2 for this dream to come true. Are you telling me ... that ... we win in Rnd 24 dashing the Cats finals hopes and that The Bont picks up 3 Brownlow and 10 Coaches votes to win both. Is that what you're telling me?

Could definitely live with a last 5 wins over Cats, Sydney, Melbourne, Port and Pies. Delicious.

Why do you even....
It does bring home the point that if we want to make the finals we have to beat Hawthorn this week and West Coast next week.

We will be long odds to beat Geelong at KP. We want that game to be a free hit not a do-or-die event.

So lose either of our next two games and our finals hopes are dangling by a slender thread. Maybe a slight chance if other results went our way but we wouldn't deserve it.

Why do you even....

I had us beating Eagles but losing to Hawks in Tas and Geelong in Geelong. Do you think that's such a far-fetched prediction? Hawks just beat the top team and we choked against the Hawks in Tas in 2021 when we needed to win to secure a top four spot. We haven't won in Geelong for 20 years. I also tipped moderate margins in all games and mostly the favourites.

Unfortunately, as much as I'd like it to not happen, the Kardinia Park hoodoo will remain.

Then we go round again the next week......

Looking like Saturday night at Alphabet stadium as well in round 24.

It's plausible, but I prefer us to be in the 8 in all scenarios....I thought it was just another Scrag pisstake

The key for us is this week. You would think we beat WCE and lose to the cats down there. We rarely beat them anywhere, Scott always out coaches Bevo we have not beat them there since 2003 20 years ago. 13 wins will get us there you would think probably 6th if the pies beat the cats this week. If we lose this week we will miss out unless we beat the cats.

I think we can get over the line this week but it will not be easy.

I suppose it depends on your view of that last game. I'd actually like to see how the team do if they go into GMHBA having to win to make it to finals, that's a tough assignment and if they do it then potentially the confidence from that gets carried into probably a MCG game in the EF.

I understand that we want to win the next two weeks to make it in regardless, and I will be cheering them on to win on Sunday. But if we roll over to Geelong again despite winning the Hawks/WC games then there's a scenario where we go into September having beaten only Brisbane (really early on in the season at Marvel) and Carlton (in a scrappy affair, again at Marvel) of the top eight teams. On the flip side we'll have lost to Melbourne, Port (twice), Collingwood, Geelong (twice), and all of Saints, GWS and Sydney (some of whom will be making up the final spots, in all likelihood).

Let's see what the team is made of in a do or die, Saturday night prime time game against a team we haven't beaten in decades away from home and set a 2016/2021 narrative again.
