Clearly would have preferred the win. But looking at the big picture, the last three weeks have shown Port can match it with the big boys.

Carr has brought a solid game plan and tighter skills.

Adelaide were the better team. But it would have only taken a few minor things for the result to have changed.

Honourable losses suck. But, after this week, an honourable loss has a silver lining.

What hurts is that we got Adelaide at a very good time. It wasn't Thilthorpe who killed us, it wasn't Worrell. It was Berry, Soligo, Cook, Milera, Rachelle, Keays and Rankine. Our similar players should have been able to get the better of that group. We didn't.

I thought we had it with the Berry goal, just had to lock it down at the bounce. But no, the umpires found a juicy soft free to give Adelaide one more roll of the dice and they took it.

I don't get all the criticism of our players, they put finals pressure on us and we kept in touch the whole game. They stopped our running game for the most part but what i saw tonight was again better than any Hinkley slop of the past few years.

Keep building and improving.

We’ll improve twice as quick if we start winning close games that is the only way players get real belief.

Thought Wehr was OK. Durdin was terrible. Got spanked by Mineral all night and missed about 5 tackles

Durdin kept up his 2 goals a game, if all our forwards did that tonight we win.
Durdin as a forward is the least of our problems.

I'm okay with this. Would love a win but goddamn... That might be the best defensive game I've seen from a player with Aliir tonight. Robbed with the medal.

But we had moments for younger players... Berry's goal that should have got us the victory! Under pressure! Best thing he's ever done for us.

I don't want to ever deliberately lose, but trying hard and getting that result with the new rule? Okay..

Some poor skills and decisions in crucial moments but we do have sone young players.
Lachie Jones frustrates me so much, he's really good or really shit.

Lost with too many turnovers which hurt our running game, slow tempo going forward worked in the crows favour. When it clicked it was so easy going forward to a leading target and hit the scoreboard.

Good learning experience for composure when the opposition make it tough to break the game open with flooding and scragging. Not a gamestyle you need to worry about to win big finals though so no biggie.

Whitlock was very good, Berry came up good as he had been threatening all game, Wehr got a lot of the ball. Aliir, man! Sweet was good.

Looked better than it was. They smacked us really. Shouldn't have been that close.
We lost to pretty much their second string lineup with no bench for 3 quarters.
About as bad of a performance as the west coast and north loss.

Its not a second string side. They're nearly full strength going into this game. Its only really Dawson and Fogerty that are definite replacements.

I am not devastated, as you knew from the outset that the umpires would hand it to them as it happens on far too many occasions.

His good is good. If his opponent was Milera tonight, then he probably cost us the game though. The fact that he trailed Milera to that last bouncing ball that came out of defensive 50 and couldn't effectively pin the tackle is evidence of that. Cost us the game as much as any play.

lol we aren’t playing finals, have generational talent on the line and the AFL have just massively incentivised tanking which is further mandated by the entry of Tas.

H&A wins mean shit this year, it is all about developing the kids and maximising our draft hand
