IN: Hart, Bode, Burns and Hudson are into the squad.

Bassett was named at FB so it would appear that he is safe for this week.

Hart was named in back pocket so he should play. I think there will be only 1 more change and I hope Bode gets a shot for Doughty.

What are your thoughts on the INs??????

I assume Ladhams is out which leaves us with our preliminary 25?

The ins are okay. I don't think we can afford to play three ruckmen, so I expect one of them to be omitted.

Burns is an interesting one. On the one hand I'm not so sure we should be playing him ahead of younger players. But on the other hand specialist forward pockets tend to do well at Subi. He did well against the Eagles there last year so he could prove handy.

Yeah Lads is out with the injury and Hart has come into the 18.

I think Bode deserves a game and would be very stiff if he is to miss again. Burns would be handy at Subi but who would miss out for these 2. Doughty is the other obvious choice.

That leaves one player to make way if both Bode and Burns are to come in. Who do you reckon is one the edge.

EDIT: I just realised that Michael Doughty has been named on the half forward flank :(

Knowing the coaching/selection panel it'll be Gags. He starts on the bench, kills it, then gets dumped the next week. The guy's a little champ, don't understand why he can's stitch up a spot, never done a thing wrong.

IMHO, the certainties to play in the Fremantle game - based upon their form against Brisbane - should be (even though some probably won't):

Gallagher (agree with acg_204 here, the guy is not getting the p/t he deserves).
Schuback
Reilly
Massie
Goodwin
Hentschel
Edwards
Smart
Carey
Stevens (please learn how to kick though)

Everyone else, including McLeod and Roo, should be the ones vying for a spot since they all sucked against both the Kangaroos and the Lions.

On another note, why wasn't Burns given a spot against Brisbane. It seems to me he always plays well against them (at least last year).

Also, why isn't Bode given the job as one of our forward pockets. We need crumbers and IMHO he is as good a crumber as we have at the AFC. Also has good goal sense.

Bit harsh on Roo. I thought he was solid against Roos.

Doughty is named in the 18 so one would suspect he will play. However, this was on footy show last night so maybe they just picked who they think will be in the squad of 25.

I guess we will know better tonight or of naughty monkey lets us know earlier ;)

PS. If Gags gets dropped them the coaching staff should get the sack. That bloke can never win. No matter how well he plays he is always in danger of losing his spot. If Gags had Doughty's height and build he would be one of our gun players. He is just not given a fair crack.

Agree with you there Stiffy, never really been a fan of Gallagher but have to admit he does try to create & is not afraid of putting his body on the line.

Can't say the same about Doughty though :( couple of times last year i raised my eye-brows & again last week when he came off the line & took a step sideways.

Here are the actual squads. I would think that Bode and Begley come in for Ladhams and Doughty. I think the published line up is pretty good except that I would start Reilly instead of Begley.

I reckon Hudson, Jezza and Doughty will drop out

Yeah good in's give us a better run out of the backlines with Hart back in the side and I think Ronnie needs to have a blinder inmportant that he plays at Carey's feet and gets the one's he misses, he generally plays well over in W.A so hope he has a good one;) Im looking forward to seeing Hudson in action:D :D

The SANFL line-ups, if you please.

*Drum roll................*

Not much clue there.

Westies, Sturt and North aren't playing so that gives no clue as to the fate of Jericho, Begley and Hudson.

Bode was named in Glenelg's side.

Rucci thinks that Jericho and Hudson will play. On that basis, presuming that he's correct, three of Bode, Begley, Doughty, Biglands and Reilly would have to miss.

Probably Bode, Begley and Doughty as a guess.

I look forward to seeing Jericho and Hudson play.

Hudson sheerly because you gotta love the way he puts in such effort, talk about a diamond from the rough.

Jericho, because he looks like he might be a hard type to match up on...good pace, good height, good hands. Might add some spark to our forward line.

Also looking forward to having a look at Hudson & Jericho especially young Jericho who i am yet to see play.

Not to sure about playing 3 ruckmen though :(

I think you will find that westies are playing Norwood tommorrow at Richmond and Jericho has been named for the Bloods.

South are playing WWT and Doughty is not named for Panthers so one would assume that he is injured or will definetly play.

Begley was named in the 18 so I am pretty sure that he will play against Freo.

IMHO outs are Bode, Jericho and Hudson.

We always take a travelling emergency to Perth so I assume that Huddo will come with the team since North have a bye.

Its official. Hudson will make his AFL debut against Freo.

OUT: Jericho :(, Doughty :) and Bode:mad:

I think we might be going into this match a bit too top heavy. 3 rucman on Subi is a recepie for disaster :(.

All the hope I had of winning is gone right out the window.:(

Apparently JLo has been dropped by freo.

Weird. He was playing as well as I'd ever seen him play in the first half against the Swans.
One of the docker supposrters said that JLo has been named at CHF for West Perth.

On Freo board they say that he has been struggling:confused:

I wish Perrie was playing CHF.

And Biglands was dropped.

And Clarke could take a mark.

And Jericho was playing.

And that Stiffy would stop quoting all these sources when he gives us info, because it always seems to be wrong...

So we have swapped Huddo & Begley for Dogga & Ladhams. Agree that we are way too top heavy with a lack of runners & 3 ruckman is not a good strategy ... though pressure will be on for them to perform, as 1 is likely to get dropped next week.
