Surely kade deserves some recognition this week. He’s been supremely underrated. Deserved atleast 2 AA over his career but yet to get there.

This week he reaches 300 with a fair chunk of footy ahead of him. Sharrod Wellingham has cost him the record for consecutive games as he’d still be going without missing.

A true champion that has been without success but plays with heart and was a true barometer back in the days when Carlton was challenging in finals.

2-3 years least at least. Was Australia’s best this recent preseason in the international series despite not getting the AA nod. Could he get one in 2019. Plenty of aged players have been gifted in previous years.

His form is almost there anyway.

300 games or not, Simmo is an absolute superstar and been one of my favourite non Richmond players ever.

Not only is he a gun rebounding defender who can still find plenty of the ball, but everything he does on the field is spot on. Every kick, handball, the spots he runs to, literally every little detail in his game he seems to always make the correct decision. It’s remarkable. And on top of that he’s just a no fuss operator who consistently does his job and doesn’t piss and moan when the going gets tough. Nothing but respect for the guy.

I think the main reason Kade gets the kudos he does is because he has a small stature but plays the game well even in the modern era. Has heart which you need in the dark times.
