After watching the game today I'm very proud of my bluebaggers. Just want to hear peoples oppinions form every club on kade simpson. snapped up at ppick 45 for the blues first pick in the draft. he is a workhorse and a clever footballer. so will he be a key player in the future?

He's a left fooed version of campo but much more courageous.
He will play 250 + games for sure.

Yep I agree totally, Simpson will be an elite player in the comp within 2 years. Also what about Fisher (taken at 72 in the same draft)
What a gem. I'm amazed how strong a mark he is. Is there actually an harder working player at the club then Fisher ? Those two are decent compensation for missing out on Goddard and Wells due to the damn AFL.

On current form he is in our best half a dozen, yet he has only played 39 games. The amount of progress he has made in the last 12 months has far outstretched anyone's expectations. Already in the leadership group, he is going to be a key player in leading the team forward towards future finals action and ultimately premiership success. The sky is really the limit for this kid.

I think he will have a career much the same as campo, but since has had to work harder in the first few years of his career, he will end his career with more toughness.

Actually from what I hear, the main reason Campo left was because of Pagan. I mean he joined Essendon, that hardly qualifies as as successful side.

Great player he's been this season. Had a very slow start to AFL footy and just goes to show that some take longer to develop than others. One of my fav, just like how hes prepared to play on and run. Ranked third in running bounces in the AFL.

Now, lets not get too carried away here! Kade is a gutsy guy who gives every ounce of energy but he is some way from being a superstar of the future. Can't kick on his right side, runs wide as soon as he gets the ball, and his kicking skills (hitting targets when not under pressure; ability to kick low and quickly to a targets) are less than deluxe!
At the same time, I was out of my seat when I saw that pass spear on to his chest, watched him dance through the 50, and nail it!
Great win, great relief, but lets keep things in perspective.

Mate he got donuts in his first 3 games (even if it was from limited time on ground). When they're writting up his bio at the end of his career that is going to be the icing on the cake.

Fantastic to see Simmo promoted into our leadership group this year which really shows his committment to his footy and to the Club.

Has been a solid contributer this year and from what I can see, give this kid a few more games under his belt and he could be anything!

fish was a steal at 72 and i didnt know he had longest arms in afl.

That draft in 2002 was a pretty good one. We had 5 picks, starting at pick 45. Simmo, Croad, Fisher, Norman and Martyn. Simpson and Fisher both magnificent pickups. I am confident that had he had his head right, Norman would have been a great player. The other 2 were not good picks.

I am VERY happy that we managed to get 2 very good players out of that draft given the considerable penalties which were placed upon us. Sure, we missed out on Goddard and Wells, but I am just as happy with Fish and Simmo.

Simmo has been great this season, and I am confident he will be able to keep it up and become a star, possibly even a superstar. Look forward to him thrilling us all for the next 10+ years.

Well I wonder if it's because Pagan may have told Campo, how he was perceived as a footballer. As an once upon a time opposition coach he would of studied Campo's style before Carlton/North games in order to have him beaten.

Perhaps Pagan just told him a few home truths he couldn't swallow.
