Think right now Sinclair better but Lycett may leave and Sinclair won't so gotta play Lycett right now...

Weekend Wrap and "Liked, Learned, Hated" right here -- How did tipping go?
I'm sure that the club is very well aware of his contract status and would have had many conversations with him regarding his long term future at the club.Even if Cox goes, Lycett will be a career number 2 behind NN.
At Port he'd be a real shot to lead the ruck (yep, I'm aware of Lobbe) and he'd be surrounded by a better midfield.
Other teams could also offer him the chance to lead their ruck.

As long as he's playing in the 1s, would it really matter if he were a part time ruckman, part time forward?Even if Cox goes, Lycett will be a career number 2 behind NN.

From all reports he is very happy in the West and I imagine having studied under Cox that he would be very tight with the ruck group.
He is not an Adelaide boy but hails from the Ceduna farming community so is a country boy and has no real attachment to Port.

Played a few under age games for SANFL team Port and a few senior games but also played at home in this period. Was with the AIS also in this time and became good mates with Gaff and Darling here. Thanks for a series of statements of the bleeding obvious followed by a glaring error.
He played for Port from age 15 to age 18 after moving to Adelaide specifically to play for them.
He played a handful of senior games before being drafted by us and he played a fair bit of junior and reserve footy for them.
Id say he has some attachment to Port.
I stand corrected. So "no real attachment to port" wasn't quite right then?
3 pre-seasons and senior footy by the time he turned 18... but no real connection...

Might be something in this joke.I feel than Lycett is too loyal to East Perth to leave WA.
How many blokes have we lost who we wanted to keep over the years? Gehrig, Judd, Ebert...any more? I'm not sure it's enough of a problem to call a trend.Might be something in this joke.
We tend to hold on to country boys from interstate rather than their city counterparts.
It is a bit of a loyalty thing.
Not suggesting that it is a trend but more pointing to the fact we havn't lost a country boy going back home. How many blokes have we lost who we wanted to keep over the years? Gehrig, Judd, Ebert...any more? I'm not sure it's enough of a problem to call a trend.
Maybe package Scott Selwood and Sinclair.I think that now Lycett has shown his AFL quality we should consider trading Sinclair for a decent draft pick

I go there often enough but am not aware what the zoning situation is.Ceduna is in the traditional Port Adelaide zone isn't it?
Still moves in slow-mo/unco but has improved over the years.
Lycett should have played every game this year. His form last year proved he was good enough yet the MC are a bunch of ********* and would rather play has-beens at the expense of the clubs future.
Pull your head in, Cox was still in reasonable enough form coming into this year to warrant a place in the 22 for round 1.
Yeah that worked out well in hindsight.
