Got a massive challenge for you guys.

Using the players names in upper case (these players are in the top 10 VFL/AFL games played,) try to make as few a connection to each capitalised player.

Connect Brad Johnson to Robert Harvey to Kevin Bartlett, Michael Tuck, Adam Goodes, Brent Harvey, Craig Bradley, Simon Madden, Dustin Fletcher and, finally, Bernie Quinlan who, himself, must connect back to Brad Johnson, in that order.

These are my connections:

BRAD JOHNSON
Craig Ellis
Brad Green
Stephen Powell
ROBERT HARVEY
Trevor Barker
Jeff Dunne
Dale Weightman
KEVIN BARTLETT
Brian Roberts
Norm Goss Jr
Barry Rowlings
MICHAEL TUCK
Chris Langford
Shane Crawford
Ben McGlynn
ADAM GOODES
Kurt Tippett
Jack Gunston
David Hale
BRENT HARVEY
Mark Porter
Stephen Silvagni
Justin Madden
SIMON MADDEN
Merv Neagle
Dennis Carroll
Barry Mitchell
CRAIG BRADLEY
Earl Spalding
Steven Clark
Dean Wallis
DUSTIN FLETCHER
Andrew Ukovic
Chris Tarrant
Richard Osbourne
BERNIE QUINLAN
John Blakey
Drew Petrie
Shaun Higgins
BRAD JOHNSON

Your turn.

Don't really understand your whole question.
However, just on links between Quinlan and Brad Johnson not understanding why you got Petrie and Higgins there when Osborne himself played with Quinlan at Fitzroy and then later in his career played at the Dogs with Brad Johnson.

Ok.Mission received.

Need a team or research assistants for this.

Best I could do is

Sheil
Luke power
Andrew Bews
Ian Nankervis
Billy Goggin
Bobby Davis
Lindsay white
Joe Sellwood
Carji Greeves
Billy Mcarter
Billy Orchard
Teddy Rankin

10 Geelong players. I'm sure there is a quicker route.

Great effort mate.
Certainly were looking down the right path.
Up to Bobby Davis heading via quickest route I believe.
I will see if I can find 9 steps tomorrow but quick browse and see Bobby Davis played with a Bill Harwood that came from Swans and then a link to Swans, Carlton and Fitzroy players.

Bumping this thread because it was started on Xmas eve 2 years ago and got another good run this time last year.

I'll reboot it with Graham Cornes to Kane Cornes. Go!

Cornes played with Glendinning in his few games he tried out at North.
Glendinning went to Eagles when they started out and played with Dean Laidley there.
Laidley then went to North and played with Byron Pickett.
Pickett went to Port and played with Kane Cornes later on in their only premiership.

Nice. Your turn.

Bumping this again.

Steven Hocking to Andrew McGrath please.

Oh, and for good measure, Leon Rice to Adrian Gallagher too please.
Steve Hocking, John Barnes, Matthew Lloyd, Michael Hurley, Andrew McGrath.

I think?

Let's get 2 of mine going at once.

Jack Silvagni back to an opponent of Serge's please.
Terry Waters.

Quoting myself but I wonder if this is legible.

Jack --> Dale Thomas --> Nathan Buckley --> Tony Shaw --> Barry Price --> Terry Waters.

Albert Bickford to Darcy Parish please.

Gonna try something here.

Darcy Parish --> Brendon Goddard --> Robert Harvey --> Trevor Barker --> Carl Ditterich --> Barry Bourke --> Ron Barassi --> Noel McMahen --> Jack Mueller --> Billy Libbis --> Bob Johnson --> Albert Chadwick --> Bill Allen --> Stan Fairbairn --> Vin Coutie --> Harry Brereton --> Albert Bickford.

Bolded = help from AFL Tables.

Surely there's a smaller chain than that.

That one looks really challenging to think about given Serg is two generations back so long before I started watching. But I am sure a few Carlton players I saw in first season I started watching in 1978, played with Serg so got something to work with. I'll give it some thought and come back to it.
